Some patients who undergo liposuction
mistakenly believe that fat removal means they won’t gain weight again—

and return to their old eating habits,
eventually experiencing weight regain
and unwanted changes in body shape.

While proper weight control and diet management
after liposuction can maintain long-term results,
failing to do so can lead to fat cell expansion
in the treated areas—
prompting many to consider revisional liposuction.

If you’re thinking about a second procedure,
we strongly recommend consulting with a body contouring specialist
to identify the causes and plan the most effective solution.

The patient is 153cm tall,
weighs 47kg, and has a BMI of 20.1.

She previously underwent thigh liposuction
at Lesarts Plastic Surgery two years ago
and was very satisfied with the results.

However, due to a return to poor dietary habits,
she began to notice localized fat accumulation again
and returned to us for body contouring revision.

Years ago, she also had arm liposuction at another clinic,
but gained weight again over time.

She originally visited us for a consultation on abdominal liposuction,
but also asked about an arm liposuction revision
to improve the look of her slender arms.

During the liposuction consultation,
we found that the patient had limited fat in the arms
due to her prior arm liposuction history,
with an estimated volume of about 600cc available for removal.

While a dramatic transformation wasn’t likely,
removing the remaining fat would help refine the arm line.

However, since her arm shape made it difficult
to achieve a perfectly straight contour,
we recommended also targeting the surrounding armpit area
to create a more balanced upper body overall.

As for the abdominal liposuction,
the estimated removal volume was between 2,400–2,600cc.

The fat was mostly concentrated in the lower abdomen,
with additional volume around the waistline and flanks,
indicating that her goal of a more defined waist
could be realistically achieved.

Arm Revision Surgery – Line and Volume Change Observation / 1-Month Post-Op: 8/24

The patient ultimately underwent
arm liposuction revision, armpit liposuction,
and abdominal liposuction,
removing a total of 3,200cc of fat.

Before surgery, the arm line was not well-defined,
and excess fat was distributed throughout the abdomen.

After just one month,
the arms appeared noticeably slimmer,
and the reduction in abdominal volume
brought the patient’s figure closer
to the waistline she originally hoped for.

Revisional liposuction requires a more
detailed surgical plan than the initial procedure.

This is due to possible adhesions
and changes in tissue structure
around the previously treated fat layers,
which can make the second surgery
more technically challenging.

We fully understand that making the decision
to undergo another procedure can be difficult
and emotionally stressful for many patients.

That’s why we approach every case
with great care and precision,
doing our best to deliver the most satisfying outcome possible.
