The patient had an overall
slim physique,
with the exception of the arms.
However, when the arms rested naturally
at the sides of the body,
the posterior arm fullness
created a rounded projection

from the side view

From the front,
this fullness extended outward laterally,
creating an upper arm contour
that appeared elevated and bulky
from the shoulder down.
As a result,
the patient’s upper body
appeared larger than her actual
skeletal frame would suggest.
Additional fullness within
the accessory breast area
further accentuated
the heavy and blunted appearance
of the upper body contour.
On evaluation,
the patient was not found to have
uniformly thick arms.
Instead,
she demonstrated relatively prominent
deltoid contours,
which caused specific areas
to appear more pronounced.
For this reason,
the surgical plan focused on
refining the fullness extending
beneath the deltoid muscles
along the posterior upper arms,
with the goal of creating
a straighter arm contour
