These days, even people who are not overweight
often pursue long-term diet and exercise routines
to build and maintain a balanced body shape.

However, even with consistent effort,
some individuals struggle with areas
that resist fat loss or appear unshaped
due to body type, fat distribution, or bone structure.
In such cases, liposuction can help refine
the overall body contour.

When performing targeted liposuction
for localized fat areas,
it’s essential to plan surgery
based on the patient’s unique physique,
ensuring the final result creates
a naturally proportional silhouette.

Today’s featured patient underwent
arm liposuction along with liposuction
of the surrounding upper body areas,
resulting in arms that appear
slimmer, longer, and more refined.

Let’s review the degree of transformation
by comparing the before-and-after photos below.

[Patient Information]
Age: Early 30s
Occupation: Student
Height: 153 cm
Weight: 43 kg
BMI: 19

Even with similar physical specifications,
liposuction results may vary by individual.

This patient, despite having a petite frame,
struggled with relatively thick upper arms
that made her upper body look bulkier,
causing significant stress and dissatisfaction.

According to her body shape analysis,
this patient exhibited the following features:

1. She had a slender bone structure
and moderate skin elasticity.

2. Her overall body type was fat-dominant,
with a sufficient amount of extractable fat
in the armpit area, where the arms connect.

3. She also had well-developed deltoid muscles.

Based on this, we proposed the following
arm liposuction surgical plan:

1. We planned to perform arm liposuction
along with armpit liposuction
to create a straighter, slimmer arm line.

2. However, due to her prominent deltoid muscles,
excessive fat removal could result in
the muscle line becoming too exposed,
which may compromise the overall aesthetic.

3. Therefore, we designed the procedure
to preserve fat around the boundary
between the shoulder and upper arm,
ensuring a natural and balanced appearance
while slimming the arms.

Below is the comparison photo
taken before surgery
and 3 months after arm liposuction.

[Surgical Area & Fat Volume]
Treatment Area: Arms, Armpits
Liposuction Volume: 1,300cc

The patient underwent arm liposuction
and armpit liposuction
to slim down the upper arms—
her most prominent concern—
and to improve upper body balance.

In the 3-month post-op comparison photo,
we can observe that the once bulky arms
now appear closer to the torso,
creating a slimmer silhouette
that matches her petite frame.

If only the arms had been treated,
the outer bulkiness and lateral width
would likely have remained unchanged.

By including armpit liposuction,
the arms could settle closer to the body,
enhancing the appearance of narrower shoulders
and a more refined, feminine arm line.

While a few more months are needed
to achieve the final surgical result,

ongoing scar care for smooth recovery
and consistent diet and exercise
to maintain the reduced volume
will further contribute
to a highly satisfying outcome.
