Liposuction is a surgical procedure
that targets only the stubborn fat deposits,
creating a slimmer, sculpted silhouette
with noticeable changes
in a relatively short period of time.

As spring approaches in April and May—
a season of skin exposure—
more people consider liposuction
as a quick and effective way
to enhance their body shape.

Among all areas, the arms are one of
the most popular zones for liposuction,
not only for slimming the upper arms,
but also for creating a more delicate-looking upper body,
which is especially appealing to women.

When performing liposuction,
it’s common to also consider
surrounding areas to achieve
a more ideal contour.

In the case of the arms, this often includes
the armpit, axillary breast, shoulder blade,
back hump, and bra line
all of which contribute to the overall
upper body slimming effect.

The patient featured in today’s case
underwent arm liposuction
along with connecting area liposuction
to maintain full-body balance.

Let’s take a look at her case photos
to examine the visible changes
in more detail.

This patient had previously undergone
thigh liposuction at our clinic
and had successfully maintained her figure
through consistent exercise and dieting.

Even for patients with similar body types,
results from liposuction may vary.

However, after experiencing repeated
irregular eating patterns,
she faced yo-yo weight fluctuations.

She became increasingly stressed
by thick upper arms,
which made her upper body appear bulkier
than it actually was.

According to the body analysis,
this patient had a body type
with excess fat distributed throughout the upper body.

There was also a sufficient amount of fat
in the upper arm bulge, axillary breast,
armpit, and bra line—the connecting areas of the arms—
so liposuction in these areas was recommended
to be performed along with arm liposuction.

However, in the case of the back hump,
which the patient was particularly concerned about,
it appeared to be more related to her bone structure
and muscular build than fat.
Thus, hump liposuction was not recommended.

Based on this evaluation,
we proposed the following
arm liposuction surgical plan.

We planned to perform arm liposuction
together with fat removal in the
upper arm bulge, axillary breast,
armpit, and bra line,
to create straight arms
while making the overall upper body look smaller.

For the back hump, which was a major concern for the patient,
we recommended trapezius Botox
and posture correction,
rather than liposuction,
to slim the neck and shoulder line.

Below is a comparison photo
taken before and 1 month after arm liposuction.

[Surgery Area & Fat Volume Removed]
Surgery areas: Arms, axillary breast, armpit, bra line
Total fat removed: 2400cc

The patient had previously undergone thigh liposuction,
and as her lower body line became slimmer,
she hoped to achieve a more balanced upper body
to match her new proportions.

To create a more delicate look,
she underwent liposuction on the arms,
along with the axillary breast, armpit, and bra line,
with the goal of reshaping her upper body
into a softer, more feminine silhouette.

As seen in the photos taken one month after surgery,
targeting both the arms and connecting areas
not only slimmed down her arm line,
but also resulted in an upper body that looked
more proportional and balanced overall.

We always perform a full-body assessment,
including the patient’s areas of concern,
because the goal is not simply to remove
as much fat as possible
,
but to create ideal body proportions
after liposuction.

In order to maintain the improved arm contour,
it’s important to continue with proper aftercare,
such as wearing compression garments,
and to follow it with a balanced diet and regular exercise
once the recovery period has passed.

This helps maximize and sustain
the positive effects of arm liposuction.
