When undergoing liposuction surgery,
many people may want to remove as much fat as possible,
but focusing solely on the volume of fat removal
can lead to side effects, such as an imbalance in the body.

Since each person has different factors that shape their body,
including bone structure, muscle size, fat amount, and skin elasticity,
it’s important to have a thorough consultation before surgery
to propose a line tailored to the individual,
ensuring a safe liposuction procedure.

The patient is 169 cm tall, weighs 72 kg, and has a BMI of 25.21.

They mentioned that despite consistent exercise and dieting,
the thick upper arm fat that made their body appear larger was not properly addressed.

They inquired if arm liposuction surgery could beautifully improve the overall arm size and line.

The patient’s upper body had a slight spinal curvature, causing uneven shoulder and waist heights.
Additionally, fat was more concentrated in the upper body than the lower body,
resulting in an overall imbalance between the upper and lower body.

To improve the balance, it was recommended to undergo liposuction in the arms,
including the accessory breasts, armpits, and bra line.

For a more dramatic change,
it was also suggested to include the scapula and hump areas, but after careful consideration,
the patient decided to exclude these areas from the surgery.

Although the scapula and hump areas were not part of the procedure,
the patient was advised to achieve a more balanced upper body line through weight loss after the liposuction surgery.

The patient had a good fat density and didn’t have prominent arm muscle lines,
so the effectiveness of arm liposuction surgery was expected to be excellent.

However, due to dry skin, the patient was informed that skin dryness could occur after the surgery,
and advised to regularly apply moisturizers and hydrate both before and after the surgery.

The estimated fat removal from the arms was about 3000cc,
and since a large amount of fat was expected to be removed from the upper body,
blood tests were performed for the patient’s health and safety.

Although the test results indicated a mild anemia level that still allowed for surgery,
because of the significant amount of fat removal,
the patient was advised to take iron supplements before the surgery to aid recovery.

The patient decided to undergo surgery at our clinic,
thinking that there was only one clinic with both extensive liposuction experience
and a proper aftercare program,
prioritizing quality over cost.

Therefore, they made the decision to proceed with surgery without consulting other clinics.

[Arm, accessory breast, armpit, and bra line liposuction surgery: 2 weeks progress / January 26 / Unauthorized use prohibited]

As a result of the arm liposuction surgery, 4600cc of fat was removed from the arm, accessory breast, armpit, and bra line areas.

Although it was decided not to perform surgery on the scapula area during the consultation,

by proceeding with the bra line and armpit liposuction,

the connecting scapular line was naturally refined, helping to balance the upper body.

By looking at the photos taken on the treatment day,
you can see that the bulges of fat that previously stuck out in the front and back
when the arms were placed close to the body have been significantly reduced,
and the accessory breast area has also been corrected.

In the photos taken two months after the surgery,
most of the swelling has subsided,
and the arm size has noticeably decreased,
resulting in a contour much closer to the shape the patient initially desired.

It’s important to note
that after upper arm liposuction,
the patient’s personal effort to maintain the improved appearance
becomes a key factor in the success of the procedure.

Even though fat has been physically removed from the body,
if one returns to pre-surgery dietary habits,
the body may attempt to revert to its original state due to homeostasis.

Therefore,
to maintain the satisfying results of liposuction long-term,
it’s essential to adopt a healthy lifestyle
through balanced eating and regular exercise.
