Face (Double chin, Side cheeks, Jawline)

liposuction aspirate volume

Even if the body is slim,
having noticeable facial fat
the first thing others see —
can often make people assume
the overall body shape is similar.

Facial fat inevitably makes the face appear larger,
which is why many people worry about it
as much as their body contour.

Even for those with a sharp facial bone structure,
fat around the jawline or a double chin
can blur the contours
and create a dull impression.

Since facial shape plays
a major role in overall image balance
as much as the eyes, nose, and mouth
the demand for facial contour management,
from at-home care devices to
non-surgical and surgical treatments,
remains consistently high.

In today’s post, we’ll take a closer look
at a facial liposuction case performed
at Lesarts Plastic Surgery,
where the patient sought improvement
in facial definition caused by excess facial fat.

The patient had a slim body type,
but excess fat concentrated in the lower face,
making the double chin and thick jawline
stand out noticeably in photos.

In particular, from the side view,
the jawline appeared obscured by facial fat,
and the double chin became more prominent —
creating a longer-looking face
and a heavier overall impression.

Through facial liposuction,
the patient aimed to refine these features,
restore a clear jawline,
and improve the balanced facial contour.

During diagnosis, the patient was found to have a small facial bone structure
and an overall balanced facial proportion,
but fat concentrated in the lower face
extending from below the cheeks to under the chin
was covering the jawbone,
making the jawline less defined and sharp.

Additionally, a double chin had formed
between the neck and jaw,
creating a vertically stretched appearance
and making the neck appear shorter.

However, removing all fat from these areas
through extensive suction could lead to
skin sagging or surface irregularities.
Therefore, the facial liposuction plan was carefully designed
to refine the jawline and contours
while maintaining a smooth and natural facial angle
for a slimmer yet balanced transformation.

Six months after facial liposuction,
the most noticeable change was the sharp V-line jawline
that gave the face a lighter and more sculpted impression.

The overall thickness of the face reduced in all directions,
making the facial contour appear slimmer and more refined.

Before surgery, cheek fat and a double chin created
a wide and flat appearance from the front view,
and from the side, the vertical droop blurred
the distinction between the jaw and neck.

However, at 6 months post-surgery,
the fat around the chin had been refined,
the jawline became sharp and narrow,
and the face width clearly decreased.

As facial fat reduced, the facial features
eyes, nose, and lips — appeared more defined and harmonious,
giving a cleaner and balanced look.

From the side view, the disappearance of the double chin
brought a more proportionate balance
between the face and neck line,
enhancing overall symmetry.

Facial liposuction should not remove fat uniformly —
it requires precision that considers
each person’s facial contour and feature proportions.

In this case, the patient’s concern about
a larger-looking face compared to her slim body
was successfully resolved.
The result was not only an improved facial ratio,
but also a visibly enhanced overall body balance
through the refined facial contour.
