Having excess fat in a single body area
and only focusing on reducing that spot
is not the right goal for today’s body contour trends.

This is because overall balance and proportion
depend on where excess fat remains
and where volume is lacking.

Especially in the summer, when more skin is exposed
and outfits become shorter, even small issues like
arm fat, lower abdominal bulge, flank fat,
or slight hip dip imbalance
can make the upper body appear heavier
and disrupt the natural bodyline flow.

Results of liposuction surgery may vary
even among patients with similar body types.

This patient had long struggled with a silhouette
that looked unrefined due to noticeable
lower belly fat, back arm fat,
and flank bulges.

In addition, the hip volume was lacking,
creating a sunken line that made the connection
between waist and lower body look flat.
This imbalance also gave the impression of
shorter legs and disrupted overall harmony.

She tried various workouts
and even received fat-dissolving injections,
but results were minimal.

In particular, restoring the missing hip volume
proved difficult with such methods alone.

Therefore, after thorough body analysis,
she decided on a surgical approach
to create a more three-dimensional
and harmonious body contour,
leading her to visit our clinic.

Based on pre-surgery photographs,
analysis of the patient’s body shape showed
that excess fat was evenly distributed
across the abdomen, arms, and flanks,
creating a heavy appearance
and reducing sharp definition.

In the abdomen, fat was concentrated
mainly in the lower belly, forming a bulge.
Additionally, asymmetry of the waistline
caused the central axis to appear misaligned.

In the arms, the triceps muscle was slightly developed,
and fat accumulation on top of it emphasized
the upper arm bulk, making the arms look heavier.

When the arms were relaxed at the sides,
there was insufficient space between
the arms and torso, blurring their boundary
and creating a bulky impression.

A unique characteristic of this patient’s case
was the natural connection between
the deltoid and triceps muscles.

If fat removal had been done excessively
without considering muscle structure,
the muscle line would have become
overly pronounced, leading to
an unnatural appearance.
For this reason, precise control of
liposuction range and depth
was especially important.

From the side view, the lower belly bulge
and the bra bulge fat were the most noticeable,
both of which significantly affected
the upper body’s volume and balance.

Accordingly, abdominal liposuction
was planned to target the lower belly and flanks,
while arm liposuction was designed to refine the contour
in a way that preserved the natural muscle definition.

In the lower body, the hip dip line was sunken,
making the transition from waist to pelvis
look unnatural and leaving the overall body proportion
flat and less defined.

Therefore, after liposuction,
the harvested fat was used for a
hip fat transfer to restore pelvic volume
and create a more three-dimensional silhouette
for the lower body.

Below, we will review the transformation
of the upper body and hip line
through comparison photos
taken 7 months post-surgery.

Before surgery, triceps fat created
a visible bulge in the back arms,
with excess fat extending into the armpit area,
making the arms look thick and heavy.

When the arms rested naturally,
the space between the arms and torso disappeared,
blurring boundaries and making the upper body
look broader overall.

After arm liposuction,
the back arm and armpit volume was reduced,
refining the arm silhouette into a slimmer
and smoother contour.

From both side and back views,
clear spacing between arms and torso appeared,
creating a neater and lighter impression.

The abdomen also carried excess fat,
particularly in the lower belly.
After abdominal liposuction,
the front was flattened, and the flanks
restored a natural waist curve,
transforming the entire upper body line
into a clean and slim shape.

In the hip dip area,
lack of volume caused a break
in the curve from the waist to hips,
making the hip line look flat
and giving the lower body
a plain impression.

Through hip fat transfer,
the pelvic curve was filled,
creating a smooth, natural flow
from waist to hips.
The overall body proportion
now appears more three-dimensional
and harmoniously balanced.

Because the hip side line lacked volume,
the starting point of the legs appeared unclear,
making the legs look shorter
and leaving the overall body proportion
less balanced and refined.

After abdominal liposuction and
hip dip fat transfer,
the upper body volume was refined,
and the hip side line was smoothly filled.

The curve from waist–pelvis–hips
was no longer broken,
but stably connected into a
balanced and natural flow.

Through surgery, unnecessary fat deposits
were removed, and the hollow areas
were filled in.

As a result, the overall body flow
and balance were stably corrected,
and a refined silhouette was achieved—
as clearly shown in the before-and-after photos.

The patient underwent combined abdominal liposuction,
arm liposuction, and hip dip fat transfer.

This approach did more than just remove excess fat
it restored the balance between the upper and lower body,
while redefining the natural bodyline flow.

The patient expressed high satisfaction,
as the overall silhouette appeared more refined
not only in daily wear, but also in summer outfits
that reveal more of the body.

By stabilizing the abdominal center
and enhancing the curve that flows
into the hip line,
she achieved a visual improvement
that felt greater than the actual size reduction.
