Even after significant weight loss,
if stubborn fat remains in visible areas
such as the lower abdomen or upper arms,
the overall bodyline may still look fuller.

Because these areas are highly noticeable,
even small amounts of fat can disrupt proportion
and create the impression that the body
has not been refined properly.

For many women, these regions become
the main source of concern.

In particular, localized fat deposits
often show little to no improvement
despite consistent diet and exercise.
Achieving visible and satisfying changes
in these areas can be very difficult.

As patients get older,
these limitations are felt even more strongly.
This is why an increasing number of women
seek realistic solutions through
liposuction surgery.

The patient we introduce today also struggled
with areas resistant to self-management.
She improved her figure by addressing
the abdomen and arm fat
through liposuction surgery.

Age: Early 40s
Occupation: Office worker
Height: 166cm
Weight: 52kg

Even with similar body specifications,
liposuction results may vary.

This patient had successfully lost
over 20kg in the past
and maintained that weight steadily.

However, stubborn fat remained
in the abdomen and outer arms,
causing ongoing stress about her figure.

Recognizing the limitations of diet and exercise,
she decided to undergo liposuction
to refine her upper body line,
making it lighter, smoother,
and more proportionate overall.

Based on the consultation photos
and body analysis, it was confirmed
that excess fat was mainly distributed
in the lower abdomen and
outer arms, requiring liposuction.

The abdomen did not hold large fat volume,
but the concentration of fat below the navel
caused the waistline to lose smooth definition
and the body center to appear heavy
when viewed from the side.

For the arms, fat in the outer upper arms
(upper arm bulge) and armpit fat
pushed outward against the torso
when standing naturally,
making the upper body look broader
and creating a heavy impression.

However, aggressive large-volume liposuction
could not be performed in this case.
Because the patient’s skin elasticity
was reduced, excessive removal
might have led to surface irregularities
or wrinkling of the skin.

Therefore, a surgical plan was designed
to remove fat at an appropriate volume,
ensuring that skin elasticity was preserved
while still refining body proportion.

Below, we review the before-and-after photos
taken 1.5 months after arm liposuction
and abdominal liposuction,
to confirm the body contouring results achieved.

Before arm and abdominal liposuction,
the upper body silhouette looked heavy,
as fat accumulated in the lower abdomen
and the outer arms,
making the torso appear wide.

In particular, the bulging line below the navel
caused the waistline to appear uneven,
while the upper arm bulge protruded backward,
making the arms look dull and segmented,
giving them a shorter impression.

At about 1.5 months post-op,
after abdominal liposuction,
the lower belly fat was refined,
and the waistline appeared flat and smooth,
with the overall figure now lighter
and more stable in proportion.

Additionally, reduction of fat
in the outer arms and armpit area
allowed the arms to connect naturally
with the torso.
The line flowing from shoulder to arm
appeared slimmer, smoother,
and visually longer.

At 3 weeks after abdominal and arm liposuction,
the patient’s own selfie photos show
a clear difference compared to before surgery.

Even though swelling is still significant
at this early recovery stage,
the waistline already looks smoother,
and the reduced outer arm fat
makes the upper body appear slimmer.

Because this patient is in her 40s
and had slightly decreased skin elasticity
before surgery, maintaining stable recovery
required consistent use of compression garments,
careful aftercare, and moisturizing management.

By continuing with these measures,
along with balanced nutrition
and appropriate exercise routines,
the positive results of liposuction
are expected to remain long lasting
for this case.
