Many patients struggling with
lower body obesity
have tried various methods,
such as celebrity-inspired
leg workouts or diet changes,
in an effort to slim their legs.

However, despite these efforts,
achieving a naturally
well-shaped leg contour
can be quite difficult.

Especially for those who
genetically store fat
in the lower body,
or experience severe swelling,
leg shape and thickness
may vary throughout the day.
This often leads to concerns
about overall body balance.

In addition, repeated weight cycling
and prolonged sitting habits
can cause skin laxity
and cellulite formation,
making the thighs appear
uneven and less firm.

This patient visited with
similar concerns.
Through consultation, surgery,
and the recovery process,
we will explain how
thigh liposuction
can effectively improve
lower body proportions.

[Patient Information]
Age: Late 20s
Height: 161 cm
Weight: 61 kg
BMI: 23

Even with similar body conditions,
liposuction results may vary
depending on individual characteristics.

During the consultation,
the patient expressed concerns such as:

– Feeling that saddlebags
catch first when wearing pants
– Inner thighs touching,
creating a bulky leg contour
– A blurred gluteal fold,
making the legs appear shorter
Stretch marks on inner and outer thighs
due to repeated weight changes

Upon diagnosis,
although there was a significant
amount of thigh fat,
the patient had low skin elasticity.
Excessive fat removal
could lead to skin sagging,
so a conservative approach
was necessary.

Additionally, due to
X-leg alignment (valgus),
there were structural limitations
in achieving a perfectly straight
11-line legs” appearance
from thigh to knee.

[Surgical Plan for Thigh Liposuction]

– Refine inner thigh fat
to reduce friction and bulk
– Design a natural transition
toward a straighter leg line
– Adjust fat removal by area
to minimize the appearance
of X-leg alignment
– Perform saddlebag liposuction
to refine the outer thigh line
and improve leg proportions

– Reduce lower buttock fat
within a safe range
to define the gluteal fold
and create a smooth transition
between hips and thighs
– Focus on contour and proportion,
not excessive volume reduction
– Post-surgery compression garment
and skin elasticity care education

These photos were taken
at 2 months post-surgery,
showing the recovery progress
after thigh liposuction.

Before surgery,
the inner thighs were touching,
and prominent saddlebags
extended beyond the hip line,
making the legs appear
shorter and heavier.

After thigh liposuction,
a natural thigh gap was created,
and the saddlebags were reduced.
The overall thigh circumference
and width decreased,
resulting in a lighter
and more refined leg shape.

Due to the patient’s
X-leg alignment,
the inner thighs from
upper thigh to knee
were structurally prone
to contact without gaps.

Instead of simply following
the bone structure,
the suction depth was adjusted
by specific areas of the inner thigh.
This allowed the X-leg appearance
to be minimized,
while creating a natural,
straight-looking thigh gap.

Through liposuction of
the lower buttock and
posterior thigh area,
the boundary between
the hips and thighs
became more clearly defined.

This creates a visual effect
where the thighs appear
slimmer and more refined.

The curve connecting
the waist, hips, and thighs
has also been enhanced,
resulting in a more
feminine and balanced silhouette.

At a 45-degree angle,
the previously bulging
front thigh volume
has been noticeably reduced,
creating a slimmer
and less bulky leg shape.

The patient had concerns
about lower body obesity
and changes in skin texture
due to repeated dieting.
However, through thigh liposuction,
targeted size reduction
and thigh circumference decrease
were achieved,
leading to high satisfaction.

After stitch removal,
even during a period of
significant swelling and
fibrosis (bio-bond),
a visible thigh gap
had already formed,
and the outer thigh line
appeared smoother.

At 2 months post-surgery,
the thigh circumference
was further reduced,
and the overall leg contour
became more defined,
creating a lighter and
more balanced proportion.

As mentioned earlier,
the patient had
reduced skin elasticity,
so consistent use of
compression garments
and proper moisturizing care
were emphasized as essential.

With continued
contour management,
the final results are expected
to settle into an even more
refined and natural shape.
