These days, more people are shifting away
from flat body shapes and toward
healthy, curvy body lines
as the ideal of attractiveness.

As a result, a growing number of fitness enthusiasts
are starting body management routines
to sculpt a more defined silhouette.

However, when trying to shape their figure,
some resort to extreme one-food diets
or intense crash diets in a short period of time.

While these methods may lead to
rapid initial weight loss,
giving the illusion of success,
they often lower the basal metabolic rate,
making the body more prone to weight gain later.

This can also cause the skin to sag,
resulting in a body that looks less toned.

When weight loss is too drastic and fast,
it becomes difficult to maintain your body size long-term,
and even harder to restore skin elasticity naturally.

In such cases, liposuction offers a solution by
directly removing stubborn fat from target areas—
especially where diets have failed.

Depending on skin elasticity,
liposuction can strategically leave small amounts of fat
to minimize sagging and maintain a firmer appearance.

To achieve this, it’s essential to have a
1:1 consultation with a specialist,
including a full body analysis and surgical plan
before undergoing the procedure.

This patient is 169cm tall,
weighs 66.9kg, and has a BMI of 23.4.

She had long struggled with thick upper arms
that lacked firmness,
causing her ongoing stress.

Unfamiliar with liposuction,
she first learned about the procedure
through a friend who had it done.

After realizing that arm liposuction
could help reduce sagging arm fat,
she visited our clinic with new hope—
to achieve slim, delicate-looking arms
she had always dreamed of.

During the liposuction consultation,
we found that the patient had excess fat
throughout the upper arms,
with a noticeable concentration in the inner arm area
(commonly known as “jeogori fat”).

Because of this, arm liposuction was expected
to yield promising results—
especially for reducing sagging arm fat.

However, the patient’s skin elasticity was quite low,
making it difficult to achieve the perfectly straight arm line
she originally hoped for.

We explained that due to poor elasticity,
there would be limits to how much fat
could safely be removed.

After arm liposuction, the empty space left behind
might not retract fully,
which could result in visible skin folds or wrinkling.

To minimize this risk,
we strongly advised the patient to wear compression garments
consistently for at least 2 to 3 months,
longer than average,
to help prevent skin sagging and support smoother results.

To enhance the overall contour and create slimmer, straight arms,
we also performed liposuction on the armpit, scapular (upper back),
and accessory breast areas
along with the upper arms.

In total, 2,500cc of fat was removed during the procedure.

Before sagging arm fat liposuction,
you could clearly see bulges
on both the front and back of the arms
when the arms were relaxed at the sides.

To create a straight, slender arm line,
we recommended adding liposuction
on the accessory breast, scapular, and armpit areas
for a more natural and balanced result.

As a result, the excess fat around the sagging arms
was neatly removed,
and the overall upper body volume appeared reduced.

Before the upper body liposuction,
the patient had significantly decreased skin elasticity,
so we explained that achieving a soft, slim-looking arm
would still be limited even with surgery.

We emphasized again that wearing
compression garments consistently
up to 6 months after surgery
would help maintain skin firmness
and support better long-term contouring
of the arm line.

While liposuction alone
can reduce body size,
you can maximize contouring results
by wearing compression garments
consistently after surgery.

At our clinic, we also provide
a range of postoperative care treatments
to support the healing of treated areas.

In addition, following a balanced diet
after the recovery period
and continuing proper care
will help maintain a beautiful, sculpted figure
for the long term.
