Many women have, at some point,
attempted a thigh-slimming diet
in pursuit of slim, slender legs.

As awareness of health and body shape grows,
more people are turning to thigh liposuction
rather than relying solely on diet or exercise
to manage their lower body.

Unlike in the past, when patients focused
only on reducing the thigh size as much as possible,
more people now seek body contouring
that reflects their personal style
and individual definition of beauty.

For this reason, it’s crucial for the surgical team
to create a safe and effective liposuction plan
that balances the patient’s aesthetic goals
with medically realistic outcomes.

As mentioned earlier, thigh liposuction
should not be about simply reducing volume.
Instead, the approach must consider
each patient’s unique body features—
including bone structure, fat distribution,
and skin elasticity.

Careful assessment is essential to determine
which areas require precise fat removal
and which should be preserved
to ensure balanced and natural results.

Even with similar body specs,
the results of liposuction surgery can vary by individual.

The patient in today’s thigh liposuction before-and-after case
visited Lesarts Plastic Surgery
after gaining about 5kg over the past 6 months,
which caused excess fat to accumulate.

She wished to restore a balanced body shape
through liposuction of the affected areas.

During consultation, she asked whether
thigh and abdominal liposuction
could be performed on the same day.

However, for large areas like the abdomen and thighs,
the decision depends on the total fat volume,
blood test results, and other health indicators.

We explained that if both areas were treated together,
iron supplements before surgery would be essential,
and IV therapy might be required post-op
depending on the patient’s recovery.

After conducting a blood test and blood pressure check,
the results showed levels that were not ideal
for performing two procedures in one session.

Therefore, we recommended beginning with
thigh liposuction, which was her top concern,
and considering abdominal liposuction
at a later date once recovery and condition
had been stabilized.

Based on the body analysis for thigh liposuction,
the patient had a slender bone frame
and a fat-dominant lower body,
with sufficient fat volume throughout the thighs.

We anticipated that she could achieve
the slim leg line she desired
through targeted fat removal.

However, in her case,
her skin elasticity was slightly lower
than average for women in their late 20s.

If the thigh volume were excessively reduced,
it could be difficult to achieve
a smooth and firm leg contour.

Additionally, there was fat accumulation
around the panty line, just above the buttocks,
that also required contouring.

So, to create a slim and balanced lower body,
we recommended combining
thigh liposuction with panty line liposuction.

Let’s now take a look at the medical photos
taken 1 month after the surgery
to compare the visible changes
in her thigh contour.

Through thigh liposuction and panty line liposuction,
we were able to refine the patient’s legs—
which had reduced skin elasticity
into a shape that is both firm and slim.

In particular, the saddlebags that bulged
around the inner thighs and just below the pelvis
had made her legs look shorter and uneven.

After smoothing out those areas,
she achieved the straight, slender leg shape
she had originally hoped for.

Comparing the selfie photos taken
30 days after lower body liposuction,
we can see that although fat was removed
from the thigh area, the skin looks even
firmer and smoother than before.

Even without pelvic contouring,
liposuction of the saddlebags alone
created visual balance, resulting in legs
that appear longer and more defined
compared to before surgery.

As mentioned earlier,
this patient had significantly reduced skin elasticity,
so the surgical technique and postoperative skin care
were extremely important.

After lower body liposuction,
the empty space left behind by fat removal
can lead to skin sagging,
so we recommended that she wear
compression garments for a longer period
than average and continue intensive moisturizing care
to help maintain skin firmness.
