Liposuction has become a widely accepted form of body contouring
that transcends age.

It is no longer limited to just people in their 20s or 30s—
today, it is also commonly chosen
by patients in their 50s and 60s.

As liposuction continues to gain popularity
across various age groups,
it is essential to prioritize safety.

Patients must be aware of any underlying medical conditions
and clearly inform their medical team
before undergoing the procedure.

Before undergoing liposuction,
patients must disclose any relevant medical conditions
such as diabetes, anemia, high or low blood pressure,
allergies, or other existing health issues.

Receiving a thorough medical assessment
from your surgical team
and carefully following the recommended post-operative care
will help reduce the risk of complications
and improve the overall outcome.

and which ones are compatible with liposuction,

[Thigh Liposuction + Hip Line Liposuction – Body Assessment on Surgery Day / October 12 / Unauthorized Use Prohibited]

The patient, who is 161cm tall and weighs 66kg,
had relatively wide hips, large thighs, and prominent buttocks
in proportion to her overall frame.

She hoped to create a thigh gap
by correcting the constant contact between her inner thighs
and achieving a straighter leg shape through thigh liposuction.

She also asked whether it would be possible
to undergo calf liposuction at the same time.

Upon assessment, we found that
fat was also concentrated in the hip area,
which meant that after thigh liposuction,
the exposed buttock contour might make the lower body
look heavier or unbalanced.

To ensure a smoother and more harmonious result,
we recommended combining hip line liposuction
with the thigh procedure.

When performing thigh, hip line, and calf liposuction together,
the total fat volume to be removed can reach around 5,000cc.

Due to this large volume,
we explained that combining all three procedures in a single session
might place unnecessary stress on the body.

For patients concerned about the calf area,
we recommended first starting with calf Botox
at the time of thigh liposuction,
and then considering calf liposuction as a second stage procedure.

The patient took time to reconsider
which areas were in most urgent need of correction.

Ultimately, she chose to undergo
thigh and hip line liposuction in the first stage,
followed by calf Botox as a secondary treatment.

Looking at the line change after the surgery,
the patient’s body type showed an even distribution
of both muscle and fat, making the effect quite noticeable.

By the 4-month mark after surgery,
the overall volume in the thighs had decreased,
and the line had improved.

Even for a body type with a lot of muscle,
if the liposuction is done in a balanced, three-dimensional shape
without overdoing it, thigh liposuction surgery
can yield a noticeable line improvement.

Since individual body types, bone structures,
and fat distribution levels vary,
it’s crucial to have a thorough consultation
with experienced, specialized medical staff before the surgery.

Before undergoing liposuction,
this patient completed a full pre-surgical evaluation,
and was found to have no relevant medical history,
ongoing medications, or known allergies.

However, during her follow-up visit for suture removal,
we noted a drop in her general condition,
and helped her recover quickly through IV hydration therapy.

Even for patients without known health conditions,
proactively monitoring and disclosing
their physical condition both before and after surgery
is a key factor in reducing risks and ensuring
a safe and stable surgical outcome.
