Hip dip transfer

Lt : 140cc, Rt : 140cc

Unlike the past, when extremely thin bodies were favored,
today’s beauty standards focus more on balanced proportions
such as a slim waist and a voluminous hip line.

For patients who struggle to achieve ideal body balance
through liposuction alone, or those who want to enhance the results
of liposuction, a hip dip fat transfer can be a powerful solution.

By removing fat from areas like the abdomen or thighs
and transferring it to the hips,
we can achieve a more defined silhouette
with enhanced curves and an aesthetically pleasing body shape.

Because hip dip fat transfer requires
careful consideration of each patient’s unique body type
and desired line,
the necessity and design of the procedure
should be personalized.

For satisfying hip contouring results,
it’s essential to consult with medical professionals
who have extensive experience and understanding
in both liposuction and fat grafting techniques.

Today’s case involves a patient
with an X-leg alignment,
which caused visible imbalance in her lower body.
Through thigh liposuction and love handle liposuction,
she achieved a more proportional figure
by correcting the asymmetry in her legs and waist.

At the same time, we performed hip dip fat transfer,
which helped enhance her overall body balance.
Let’s take a closer look at her before-and-after photos
to see the transformation in detail.

[Patient Information]
Age: Mid-20s
Occupation: Office worker
Height: 167 cm
Weight: 50 kg
BMI: 19
Results may vary, even among patients with similar body types.

Although she was not overweight,
this patient had a lower-body fat distribution
with a noticeable fat concentration in the thighs.
She felt that her thigh fat negatively affected her clothing fit,
which was a source of daily stress.

Body type analysis for this patient revealed:

1.She had a fat-dominant body type with low muscle mass
and a sufficient amount of fat available for liposuction.
Because of this, she was expected to see significant improvements
in size reduction and line refinement following surgery.

2.One notable feature was that fat was concentrated
below the hip line, rather than on the hips themselves,
which caused the buttocks to appear saggy.

3.Structurally, she had an X-leg alignment,
where the knees turn inward and the ankles rotate outward.
Even with inner thigh liposuction,
correcting the overall leg shape to a straight line
would be difficult due to bone structure.

Based on these findings,
we proposed the following hip dip fat transfer plan:

1.Perform liposuction on the lower hip line, thighs, and love handles
to balance the upper and lower body proportions.

2.To create an enhanced, continuous line
from the waist down through the thighs,
we planned to harvest fat from the hips, thighs, and love handles
and transfer it to the hip dip area
as part of a pelvic contouring procedure.

3.Since the patient had a narrow and elongated waist,
we informed her in advance that
even after correcting the lower curves,
her waist might appear visually long post-surgery.

Below are the comparison photos
taken before surgery and 4 months after
undergoing thigh + hip line + love handle liposuction
and hip dip fat transfer.

[Surgical Areas & Fat Volume]
Procedure areas: Thighs, hip line, love handles, hip dip fat transfer
Total fat removed: 4,200cc
Fat grafted to hip dips: 140cc (left) / 140cc (right)

In this case, the patient underwent liposuction targeting
the thighs, hip line, and love handles
to correct her upper-lower body imbalance
and achieve a more feminine leg contour.

By combining volume reduction in key areas
with hip dip augmentation,
we aimed to create a balanced, hourglass silhouette
with enhanced curvature and proportion.

As seen in the photos taken before and 8 months after
the hip dip fat transfer,
we achieved a balanced reshaping of the thighs
by adjusting for the patient’s X-leg alignment.
Fat was carefully removed from the thighs,
then transferred to the hip dip area,
resulting in a more voluminous and rounded hip line.

This patient had a naturally slim and elongated waist,
but was concerned about lower body heaviness.
By performing thigh liposuction to address this concern
and reusing the harvested fat for the hip dip area,
we were able to visually raise the starting point of the legs,
creating a slimmer and longer-looking leg line than before.

After the surgery,
we instructed the patient to avoid intense exercise
and extreme dieting during the fat graft stabilization period.
We emphasized the importance of wearing compression garments
to apply pressure to the liposuction areas,
while avoiding pressure on the injected areas
to help maximize fat retention and contour results.
