Recent trends have shifted away
from the ultra-thin “skin-and-bone” look,
toward balanced body proportions
and a feminine silhouette with curves.
Even those who successfully slim down
often feel self-conscious if their body
lacks volume in certain key areas.

One of the most common concerns
is a flat or narrow pelvic region.
It’s difficult to build sufficient volume
in the hip dip area through exercise alone,
and even with long-term training,
achieving a soft, rounded contour
can be quite limited.

For those who are not fully satisfied
with the shape created by workouts,
hip dip fat transfer offers an effective solution
to create a smoother curve from the waist
to the lateral hips and upper thighs,
enhancing the overall silhouette.

This procedure harvests fat
from areas such as the abdomen or thighs,
then transfers it to the hip dips and outer hips,
extending toward the buttocks line,
to enhance the pelvis, hips, and thigh contours
with a naturally soft and feminine finish.

Today’s featured case involves a patient
who combined thigh liposuction
and love handle liposuction
to reduce lower body fat,
while correcting her hip dip deformity
with hip dip fat transfer.

This created a more proportional silhouette,
with a defined waistline,
slimmer thighs, and
curvier pelvic contour.
Let’s look at the case photos below
to see the transformation in detail.

[Patient Profile]
Age: Mid-20s
Occupation: Office worker
Height: 175cm
Weight: 65kg
BMI: 21

Even with similar body types,
results from hip dip fat transfer
can vary depending on individual factors.

The patient did not have a high body weight,
but her figure was categorized as
lower body dominant,
with noticeable thigh fat.
She was especially concerned about
the visible indentation at the hip dips,
which she said ruined the fit of her clothes.

Upon body shape analysis, this patient was found
to have enough fat volume in the thighs
to qualify as a fat-dominant lower body type.
Excess fat was also visible in the chanel line
and love handles, which were both recommended
for suction along with thigh liposuction.

While overall thigh muscles were not pronounced,
she had noticeable development in the outer quads,
raising concerns that aggressive liposuction
might exaggerate those front-facing muscles
and leave the legs looking uneven.

Another defining feature was buttock sagging,
as well as a prominent case of hip dips
that created a flat and unbalanced curve
across the side of the pelvis and thighs.

Based on this analysis, we proposed the following
hip dip fat transfer plan for natural correction:

1.To achieve a feminine and smooth leg contour,
we planned liposuction of the thighs,
chanel line, and love handles in combination.

2.To correct the hip dip deformity
and boost the volume-deficient buttocks,
we recommended fat grafting to the hips
using fat harvested from the thighs and flanks,
ensuring a smooth and balanced result.

Below are before-and-after photos
taken before surgery and 2 weeks after,
highlighting the early-stage transformation
achieved through this procedure.

[Surgical Areas and Volume]
Liposuction areas: thighs, love handles
Fat transfer area: hip dips
Liposuction volume: 5,200cc
Fat graft volume: 170cc (right) / 160cc (left)

The patient underwent thigh liposuction
and love handle liposuction
to reduce stubborn lower body fat,
and used the harvested fat to perform
a hip dip fat transfer, aiming to create
a slimmer yet smoother lower body contour.

Although the post-op photos were taken
just two weeks after surgery—during a time
when swelling is still common—
you can already see a significant difference
in her leg and hip silhouette.

Notably from the back view,
the curve of the pelvic region stands out,
refined through a combination of fat removal
and targeted grafting to produce
a more feminine, contoured line.

Overall, the thighs became visibly slimmer,
transforming into a straighter leg shape,
and the previously sunken hip dip area
was corrected naturally and harmoniously.

Although the patient did not undergo
chanel line liposuction, which can enhance
the straight leg shape from the front,
her selfie taken on the day of surgery
already showed clear changes—
not just in contour but also in overall proportion.

Her legs appeared longer and more feminine,
proving that even without additional areas,
the transformation in volume and symmetry
alone made a noticeable difference
in both balance and visual effect.

While liposuction alone can effectively
slim down the body, those who seek
a more balanced, athletic yet feminine figure
often benefit from combining it with
fat transfer to volume-deficient zones.

This approach allows you to visually
elongate and streamline your figure,
enhancing strengths and softening areas
that previously appeared imbalanced.

However, instead of transferring
excessive amounts of fat,
a more ideal result is achieved
through proper consultation with experts
who understand how to sculpt
based on each body’s unique shape.
