A voluminous, rounded buttock
can greatly enhance a woman’s femininity
and complete a healthy-looking figure.

Depending on the pelvic size and shape,
your entire body line can change—
especially when wearing tight-fitting clothing.

While building firm glutes requires
long-term commitment to volume-boosting workouts,
achieving natural hip-to-body balance
and enhancing the pelvic line
often goes beyond what exercise alone can accomplish.

That’s why for women with flat or narrow hips,
hip dip fat grafting has become a popular option.

By harvesting fat from areas like the
abdomen or thighs,
where fat tends to accumulate,
and grafting it into the hip dip region,
you can achieve more volume and a balanced silhouette.

Hip dip fat grafting offers the advantage of
sculpting the hips without exercise,
making it a go-to choice among women
interested in body contouring.

As demand rises, it continues to gain popularity
as a body-shaping surgery that delivers
quick and visible results.

This patient is 157cm tall,
weighs 53kg, and has a BMI of 21.5.

Over 10 years ago, she underwent thigh liposuction
at another clinic in an attempt to remove stubborn fat
accumulated in her lower body.

However, the initial procedure left her with
uneven thigh contours and sagging in the buttocks,
which ultimately led her to seek revision surgery.

She visited our clinic for a consultation on
thigh liposuction revision,
hoping to assess whether a secondary procedure
was possible for her lower body.

Her main concern was whether body contour correction
through revision liposuction
could help her achieve a more feminine silhouette.

During the liposuction revision consultation,
we observed that the patient had slightly reduced skin elasticity.

We explained that after upper and lower body liposuction,
sagging may occur in areas where fat is removed.
To maintain a smooth contour,
the patient would need to wear compression garments
consistently for at least 3 months.

In the thighs, residual fat was found around the
saddlebags and Chanel line (inner knee area)
due to previous surgery.
So we recommended contour refinement
focused on those areas to improve leg shape.

Considering the patient had been stressed
about her larger buttock size,
we recommended liposuction targeting the hip line
and surrounding areas to create a more balanced lower body.

The patient also had a visible hip dip,
where the hip dip region (trochanter area) appeared sunken.
To correct this, we planned fat grafting
using fat harvested from the thighs.

However, we informed her that
thigh fat alone might not be enough
to fully restore volume in the hip dips.
Therefore, we proposed to perform
abdominal liposuction as well—
to not only remove excess belly fat,
but also to obtain additional fat
for a more complete hip dip correction.

Prior to surgery, the patient underwent a suitability check
due to her history of anemia.
Test results showed below-average iron levels,
so we advised her to take iron supplements
for one month before the procedure
to normalize hemoglobin levels.

After agreeing to the surgical plan,
which balanced body proportions through
liposuction and hip fat grafting,
the patient underwent liposuction on the abdomen, thighs, and hip line,
removing a total of 2,100cc of fat.
A portion of the harvested fat was grafted
into both hip dip areas to restore symmetry.

Asian women typically have narrower pelvic width
compared to Western women,
and even with a slim waist,
a shorter pelvic span often remains a concern.

When the hip line is flat,
the legs can appear shorter,
and the waist may look like a straight block
without curves.

That’s why we perform liposuction
on the upper area (abdomen fat)
and lower area (thigh fat),
then graft the purified fat
into the hip dip area
to create a natural pelvic contouring effect.

This also helps sculpt a voluminous hip shape
and improves the overall silhouette.

In this patient’s case,
we removed stubborn fat
from the abdomen and thighs
through upper and lower body liposuction,
and added volume to the hip dip region
via fat grafting.

As a result, her legs appear longer,
and her entire body line looks more refined.

After surgery, proper self-care
is crucial for optimal results.

Because this patient had reduced skin elasticity,
we advised wearing compression garments
consistently for over 3 months
to help the skin adhere and maintain firmness.

When liposuction and hip fat grafting
are performed together like in her case,
it is essential to apply firm compression
to the suctioned areas,
while avoiding pressure
on the grafted hip dips.

For the first month post-op,
we recommend sleeping either
on your back or stomach,
to avoid pressure on the grafted areas.

Additionally, we emphasized the importance
of avoiding alcohol, smoking, heavy sweating, saunas,
and other activities that may disrupt healing,
so the body can fully focus on recovery
and ensure a successful fat graft outcome.
