For men, chest volume can be a source of discomfort and stress.

In fact, many individuals have been dealing with concerns about large and sagging chests, similar to the struggles women face with their breasts, since their teenage years. As a result, some have developed the habit of wearing two or three t-shirts layered on top of each other or hunching their shoulders forward.

Additionally, the stress caused by the shape of the nipples, alongside gynecomastia, is also significant.

When treating gynecomastia, it’s clear that many patients also suffer from concerns related to inverted nipples, which I have observed firsthand.

In today’s case, we will look at the surgical improvement effects for both gynecomastia and inverted nipples.

This patient is in his 30s and has been aware of the protrusion in both sides of his chest since his teenage years.

Even as an adult, the symptoms of gynecomastia continued to cause discomfort, and despite trying to solve the issue through dieting and

chest exercises, he didn’t experience significant changes.

Ultimately, he came in seeking surgery to correct the size of his chest through gynecomastia surgery.

First, to identify the cause of the gynecomastia symptoms, an ultrasound was performed, which confirmed excessive glandular tissue in both sides of the chest. The patient was diagnosed with gynecomastia, classified as Simon Grade 2A.

Additionally, inverted nipples were observed, and the patient also experienced occasional pain with lumps under the chest.

Therefore, the patient needed to undergo glandular tissue excision to address the chest volume issue, which could not be reduced through diet or exercise, and liposuction to remove excess fat from the lower chest and side areas, helping to shape the overall chest appearance.

Especially considering the hard, lump-like glandular tissue, it was important to remove it carefully, and through tissue repositioning, ensure the chest shape did not become flat due to the empty space left behind, creating a more natural and masculine chest contour.

The patient’s skin elasticity was moderate, but I informed them that consistent follow-up care would be needed after surgery to monitor any skin sagging and evaluate the improvement in the inverted nipples.

Next are the before-and-after photos taken 2 months after the gynecomastia surgery.

In the 2 month post-surgery photos, we observed stable recovery, with improved chest volume after the glandular tissue removal, resulting in a more natural and firm masculine chest appearance.

In particular, the effect of the surgery is more noticeable from the side view. The glandular tissue that made the lower chest resemble a woman’s chest has been removed, and the chest has taken on a more masculine shape.

After the body had recovered to a certain extent, combining chest exercises led to even more natural firmness and muscle definition in the chest, further enhancing the results.

As seen in the before-and-after photos with a white t-shirt, by addressing the chest protrusion issue that had caused the patient concern before the gynecomastia surgery,

their hunched posture and slouched shoulders were corrected, revealing a broader chest and shoulders. This allowed for a confident and well-fitting t-shirt look,

showcasing a more confident appearance.

In this patient’s case, through tissue repositioning during the gynecomastia surgery, the inverted nipple issue was also corrected, resulting in an ideal chest shape.

This patient had been dealing with both gynecomastia and the stress caused by inverted nipples, so it was a case where they achieved a highly satisfactory

improvement in their chest appearance.
