When we say someone has a “great body,”
it often refers not just to volume or curves,
but to balanced proportions with natural contour.
Among all aspects, the upper-to-lower body ratio
is often considered one of the most important.

Even at the same weight, those with
upper-body obesity or lower-body obesity
may appear larger or struggle with body imbalance,
leading to stress and dissatisfaction.

To address this, many try to target certain areas
like the thighs or arms through focused workouts.
However, it’s not easy to lose fat
in just one area through exercise alone.
In fact, it may even build up muscle
and create further body disproportion.

That’s why more patients are now turning to
liposuction of the abdomen, thighs, and arms
to correct upper-lower body imbalance
or to achieve a more aesthetically pleasing silhouette.

To improve such imbalance through liposuction,
it’s crucial to first perform a detailed analysis
of the patient’s body structure and fat distribution,
and to build a precise surgical plan tailored to their needs.

Even with similar body specifications,
the results of liposuction surgery may vary.

The patient featured in today’s case
had a lower-body dominant figure,
and visited Lesarts Plastic Surgery
to correct her upper-lower body imbalance
through both thigh liposuction and abdominal liposuction.

Prior to thigh liposuction,
we evaluated the patient’s lower body and found that
while her hamstring muscles were moderately developed,
her overall body fat percentage was high,
indicating a fat-dominant body type.
This suggested that she would likely respond well
to the effects of thigh liposuction.

In addition to the thighs,
the patient was also concerned about the fat accumulation
around her hip line, which made her figure appear
heavier and less balanced.

To improve the overall line from the upper to lower body,
we recommended adding hip line liposuction
to reduce volume in the buttocks
and create a smoother silhouette.

Finally, since the thighs would become slimmer
after liposuction, we advised pairing the procedure with
calf botox to reduce the visual bulk of the calves
and ensure proper lower body balance.

Following her lower body liposuction,
the patient inquired about
abdominal liposuction as a next step,
hoping to refine the upper body and
maximize the overall contouring effect.

In the abdominal area, the patient had low muscle mass
with a significant amount of subcutaneous fat that required removal.
We explained the surgical plan would focus on
improving the waistline through
abdominal liposuction and love handle liposuction.

Let’s now examine the changes in contour
through medical photos taken before surgery
and three months after abdominal and thigh liposuction.

Through abdominal and thigh liposuction,
excess fat in the abdomen and thighs was removed,
resulting in a more defined contour and reduced volume.
You can clearly see the transformation
to a more balanced and proportionate silhouette.

Although there is still some residual swelling
at three months post-surgery,
the transition from the tapered waist
to the upper thighs and buttock line
is now visibly smoother and more stable in proportion—
even creating the effect of longer-looking legs.

In the selfies provided by the patient after liposuction,
you can clearly see the degree of transformation
in her lower body contour.

The thighs and hip line,
which were difficult to improve through diet or exercise alone,
were successfully reshaped through liposuction,
resulting in a longer-looking leg line
tailored to her natural body type.

The patient had experienced significant stress
due to fat being concentrated mainly in the lower body
compared to her upper body.

If she continues with a healthy diet
and regular exercise post-surgery,
the results of her thigh liposuction
will likely be even more enhanced,
making this a very promising case for long-term improvement.
