Face (double chin, cheek fat)

liposuction aspirate volume

In today’s culture shaped by SNS and
camera-app filters, the facial shapes
created by these tools are increasingly
influencing real-life beauty standards.

With just a filter, cheek fullness can
instantly disappear, and a square jawline
turns into a sharp V-line,
making the face look slimmer
and more defined.

The issue is that people become used
to these filtered images and begin to feel
dissatisfied with their actual appearance
in the mirror.

Especially on platforms like Instagram,
TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and
influencer live streams—
the main playgrounds for people
in their 20s and 30s—
most faces shown are unrealistically slim,
sharp, and smooth.

This trend naturally stimulates
interest in procedures that refine
facial contour, and many people
choose facial liposuction as a safer
alternative to bone-cutting contour surgery.

Through this facial liposuction case’s
before-and-after photos, we will examine
whether removing the double chin
and cheek fat beneath the jawline
can reduce overall facial heaviness.

This patient also disliked how the
thick and heavy lower-face line
appeared in photos.

During conversation, the movement
of the face made the double chin
look even more pronounced,
which she wished to improve
through face liposuction.

She had previously tried
masseter Botox and contouring injections
for the chin area, but the results
were not noticeably different.
For this reason, she decided on
double chin and cheek fat liposuction.

From the side view, the patient had
significant cheek fat and fat accumulated
under the jaw, forming a clear double chin.

The volume in the cheeks made the face
look wider from the front,
and created a duller impression
from the side profile.

In addition, the double chin blurred the
boundary between the jawline and neck,
making the neck appear shorter
and giving an overall heavier,
more constricted impression.

The patient required a facial liposuction plan
that would refine the overall face shape
while removing excess heaviness.

Accordingly, it was important to clearly remove
the double chin, define the jawline,
and create a clean and visible neck line.

For the cheek fat, the goal was to reduce
the outward fullness without causing hollowing,
refining the lifted appearance from the side
and reducing the overall facial width
by delicately shaping the areas
where volume was most prominent.

The first noticeable change after
facial liposuction was that the fat
under the chin disappeared, the
double chin was completely removed,
and the overall face shape became
smaller and lighter.

The neck line now appears clean,
and a natural V-line has formed.

In addition, the buccal (deep cheek) line
was refined, improving the aged or stern look,
and the cheek fat was balanced,
correcting the widened facial appearance.

At 2 weeks after facial liposuction,
some swelling is still present,
but the facial outline is already sharper,
showing a more organized
and defined impression overall.

The patient shared that the changes in
face size in photos and the
double chin that was bothersome
during conversations were completely
resolved, leading to a high level
of satisfaction.

This case shows that for those who want
a confident, natural facial contour
without relying on camera filters,
facial liposuction can be
a meaningful option.
