As cold winter weather continues,
many people are finding themselves
gaining weight due to decreased outdoor activity.

In colder seasons, people tend to wear thick coats
that hide their figure,
which can lead to less awareness of body changes
and result in weight gain-related stress.

Among various body areas,
the upper arms are particularly prone to fat accumulation,
and can make it difficult to achieve a balanced silhouette.
This is why liposuction is gaining interest.

Liposuction is an effective option
for people struggling with localized fat,
like in the upper arms,
and can help improve the body line
in a relatively short amount of time.

However, instead of simply removing
as much fat as possible,
it’s important to tailor the procedure
to the individual’s body type, skin elasticity,
fat and muscle ratio, and proportions.

To achieve high-quality liposuction results,
patients should consult with a surgeon
who has extensive experience
and a wide range of successful cases,
ensuring a safe procedure and satisfying outcome.

The patient is 163cm tall, weighs 55.6kg,
with a BMI of 20.9.
She has maintained her figure
through consistent exercise over time.

Despite managing her weight well,
she struggled with stubborn fat in the upper arms
that wouldn’t go away,
which became a significant concern for her.

Due to the persistent arm fat,
she decided to undergo upper body liposuction,
and visited our clinic
in search of a specialized liposuction center.

During the consultation,
she inquired whether liposuction could help her achieve
slender, straight arms with a feminine silhouette.

Based on the pinch test,
the patient was found to have a fat-dominant body type
rather than muscle-based,
suggesting that upper body liposuction
would likely result in significant size reduction.

When the patient stood with her arms down,
the fat around her upper arms visibly pushed outward,
making her arms and overall upper body
appear bulkier than they actually were.

To achieve the slender upper body the patient desired,
we recommended not only arm liposuction,
but also liposuction of the accessory breast,
scapula (back fat), and armpit areas.

We explained that if liposuction was performed
only on the upper arms,
there would be limitations in achieving
a true right-angled shoulder and straight arm look.

For the best results,
removing fat from the connecting areas
where fat is more densely accumulated
would create a synergistic slimming effect
for the entire upper body.

After careful consideration,
the patient agreed that liposuction of not only the arms
but also the surrounding areas
would bring a more complete upper body transformation.

She proceeded with liposuction of the
upper arms, accessory breast, scapula, and armpits,
and a total of 1,600cc of fat was removed.

By performing liposuction not only on the upper arms
but also on the connecting areas,
the patient achieved the desired result—
slim, straight arms and a more balanced upper body volume.

During upper body liposuction consultations,
some patients mistakenly believe that
liposuction of the connecting areas is a mandatory procedure,
simply because it’s being recommended.

However, we always clarify that
these recommendations are made to help patients
achieve optimal and satisfying results,
and the final decision to include additional areas
is entirely up to the patient.

In this case, the patient was concerned
about disproportionately thick upper arms,
which disrupted the overall balance between
her upper and lower body.

Following the medical team’s recommendation,
she underwent liposuction not only on the upper arms
but also on the accessory breast, scapula, and armpits,
leading to a slimmer, more delicate upper body silhouette.

At our clinic, we are continuously researching
and refining our approach
to help each patient achieve their ideal body shape
with truly satisfying results.

We provide personalized consultations
based on each individual’s body type,
skin elasticity, skeletal structure,
and the unique characteristics of each area.

By creating a customized surgical plan,
we strive to deliver natural and balanced outcomes,
putting our full effort into every step of the process.
