When deciding to undergo liposuction
to improve their body shape,
some patients come in expecting that
removing as much fat as possible
will lead to the most satisfying results.

However, this approach can result in
uneven body lines, localized skin depressions,
and disruption of body balance,
making caution essential.

In more severe cases,
revision liposuction may be necessary.

Because revision procedures tend to be
more complex and technically demanding
than the initial surgery,
a precise surgical plan is especially important.

That’s why it’s critical to evaluate
the patient’s body type,
identify the issues from the first surgery,
consider the skin’s elasticity,
and account for the characteristics of the surgical area,
in order to create a well-balanced surgical design.

The patient introduced in today’s case
underwent revision arm liposuction
to correct areas that had not been
satisfactorily addressed in the first surgery.

Let’s check the case details
and see the degree of improvement.

[Patient Info]

Age: Early 30s

Occupation: Dancer

Height: 152 cm

Weight: 62 kg

BMI: 27

Even with similar body types,
results from liposuction may vary.

The patient had received
arm liposuction at another clinic
six years ago,
but repeated poor eating habits
led to yo-yo weight gain.

Fat accumulation in her upper arms
gave a heavy appearance,
causing her ongoing stress.

According to the body analysis,
this patient had a body type
with well-developed arm muscles.

The patient’s skin elasticity
was determined to be within a normal range.

There was also a noticeable amount of fat
in the bra line and armpit area,
which are connected to the arms.

Based on this, we proposed the following
revision arm liposuction plan.

We planned to perform arm liposuction
along with bra line and armpit liposuction,
in order to create a slimmer upper body
while reducing the thick upper arms.

However, because her arm muscles
were highly developed,
there was a possibility that the muscle lines
could become more prominent after surgery.

To avoid unnatural contours,
and to create a more natural arm line,
we planned to leave some fat between muscle borders
to achieve a smooth, straight arm shape
without sharp indentations.

Below is a comparison photo
taken before and one month after
the revision arm liposuction.

[Surgery Area & Fat Volume]

Surgery areas: Arms, armpits, bra line
Total fat removed: 1500cc

The patient underwent revision arm liposuction
in hopes of transforming her upper body
into a more refined silhouette
with maximum line improvement.

As shown in the photos taken one month after surgery,
performing liposuction on both the arms
and the connecting areas resulted in
a visibly reduced upper body volume.

Specifically, the upper body—
which had appeared bulkier due to excess arm fat
now shows a noticeably slimmer appearance
after liposuction.

This patient had experienced frequent yo-yo weight gain,
due to repeated poor eating habits.

In cases of obesity,
liposuction alone is not a cure.
Since it’s a chronic condition,
postoperative management is essential
to maintain long-term results.

That’s why, following revision liposuction,
a detailed aftercare program,
consistent compression garment use,
and ongoing efforts to maintain a healthy lifestyle
are highly important.

With these efforts,
we believe this case has strong potential
for achieving an even more beautiful,
well-balanced body line.
