1. Upper body contour imbalance
Fat was concentrated around the arms,
making the upper body width appear broader.
2. Arm shape characteristics
The posterior arm volume was prominent,
and thickness was emphasized
when the arms rested naturally at the sides.

Fat layers extended between the arms and axilla,
creating a folding sensation
when the arms were held close to the body.
4. Skin elasticity assessment

the surgical plan focused on improving

Outer arm–focused volume reduction
Circumference was reduced
by targeting outer arm fat,
with axillary liposuction added
to allow the arms to rest naturally,
creating a clean straight arm line.
Contour design based on skin quality
With favorable skin elasticity,
the design emphasized smooth silhouettes
from multiple viewing angles.
Below, we compare photos taken
50 days after arm and axillary liposuction.
Before fat reduction, the outer arm line
curved outward, visually widening
the upper body width overall.
This was strongly influenced by
a continuous fat layer extending
from the inner arm to the axilla.
Axillary fat prevented the arms
from resting close to the body,
causing the arms to close
at a slight diagonal angle
in the front view.
As the volume in the accessory breast
and bra line areas was refined,
excess upper body fat decreased,
creating a smoother overall line.
The silhouette became noticeably
more feminine, light, and balanced.
From the back view,
the posterior arm fat layer
was in contact with the side back line,
causing the boundary between
the arms and torso
to appear blurred and congested.
In this procedure, the goal was not
simply reducing arm circumference.
The plan included refining
the connection areas
extending to the scapular
and axillary regions,
allowing the arms to connect
cleanly into the back contour.
As a result, the previously
widely spread arm shape
seen from behind was corrected.
The silhouette from below the shoulders
to the arms now appears
much smoother and more defined.
Even during the phase
with some residual swelling,
the overall upper body balance
has become noticeably
more stable and refined.
From the side view,
improvement in front and back arm volume
clearly shows a visible reduction in arm thickness.
As the arms become slimmer,
a more delicate upper body feel
and feminine impression emerge naturally.
With the arm curve softened
and overall thickness reduced,
the silhouette appears longer and slimmer.
In addition, the boundary between
the arm and torso becomes more defined
from the side, resulting in
a cleaner, more balanced upper body silhouette.
In the photo taken by the patient
wearing a sleeveless top,
the arm thickness is noticeably reduced.
With axillary liposuction,
the arms now close fully inward,
creating right-angle shoulders
and straight arm lines.
When the arms are lowered,
they rest naturally against the torso,
which greatly enhances
the overall body image.
As this is still a phase
with some residual swelling,
continued exercise, stretching, and diet management
are expected to further improve
the overall refinement of the arm line.
