This patient had been stressed about the fat on her upper arms.
She tried to improve it through arm exercises, but felt that developing muscles might not give her the arm shape she wanted.
So, she received more than 10 sessions of fat-dissolving injections, but mentioned that the results were not as noticeable as she had hoped.

Later, before leaving for a language program in the U.S., she wanted to achieve straight arms and square shoulders.
While researching liposuction procedures, she came across our blog post that said, “If you have an important event coming up, it’s best to allow plenty of recovery time.”
After reading this, she decided to visit our clinic 8 months before her departure.

This patient was 167cm tall and weighed 68.7kg, with a body type prone to fat accumulation.
She hoped to achieve straight arms and square shoulders by removing as much fat as possible from her upper arms.

Due to multiple fat-dissolving injection treatments, the fat tissue had become fibrotic and tougher, and the skin on her arms had slightly thinned.
Fortunately, her skin elasticity was good, so we expected that she could still achieve her desired contour.

Since the fat in her arms had hardened, we anticipated that the surgery would take a bit longer, as it would be necessary to first loosen the toughened fat for smoother suction.

In addition to the arms, she also had fat deposits around the armpits, bra line, scapular area, and accessory breast areas.
Considering overall balance and the patient’s desired body line, we recommended liposuction in these accessory areas as well, as it would create a synergistic effect, bringing her closer to her ideal shape.

The patient was already aware of the fat in these areas and readily agreed to include them in the procedure.
As a result, a total of approximately 5300cc of fat was removed from the arms, scapular area, accessory breasts, armpits, and bra line.

Before undergoing upper body liposuction, fat was primarily concentrated around my upper arms, which made my overall frame appear larger.
Due to the excess fat in the arms, I also experienced sagging when lifting them, as the weight would pull the skin downward.

Approximately three weeks after the arm liposuction procedure, photos showed noticeable bruising and swelling with a yellowish tint, but a visible reduction in arm volume.

By around the four-month mark post-surgery, both the bruising and swelling had significantly subsided, and I was able to observe a more defined arm shape and shoulder line, approaching a straighter arm contour and a right-angled shoulder appearance.

Let’s take a look at this patient’s experience following arm liposuction.

[Patient Testimonial]
I had always been self-conscious about the fat on my upper arms, and wearing sleeveless tops without worrying about flab was something I had long hoped for.
I had previously tried fat-dissolving injections, but the results were minimal, and due to tissue adhesion, the shape of my arms became uneven, which made me want to hide them under clothing even after the treatments.
Still, I was determined to wear sleeveless tops during my upcoming language study program in the U.S., so I began looking into liposuction.
What convinced me were the high satisfaction rates in other patients’ reviews, and the before-and-after photos showed arm shapes that matched the look I was personally hoping for.
Even just one week after the arm liposuction procedure, I could already see a noticeable reduction in arm fat, despite some swelling.
During post-op radiofrequency treatments at the clinic, I could also feel the bio-bond gradually loosening, which was reassuring.
Thanks to the minimal incisions, the scars are barely noticeable unless you look very closely, which I really appreciate.
Now, I finally feel confident that I’ll be able to wear sleeveless tops freely in the U.S.

Although this patient had previously undergone fat-dissolving injections, which had caused some tissue hardening, the targeted liposuction of the upper arms, shoulder blades, accessory breast area, armpits, and bra line helped her achieve a straighter arm contour and more defined, right-angled shoulders—just as she had hoped.

During consultations for arm liposuction, our medical team takes the patient’s desired silhouette and overall body balance into careful consideration. Based on this, we often recommend including additional “accessory areas” for liposuction to help enhance the final result.

These accessory areas can vary depending on the individual’s body shape, muscle structure, and fat distribution. However, it’s important to note that these recommendations are not mandatory. Occasionally, patients may misunderstand and believe that the suggested areas must be treated. For this reason, we always make sure to explain that accessory area liposuction is optional and offered purely to help patients achieve more satisfying outcomes.

In this case, the patient initially came in for arm liposuction only. However, after consultation, she also opted to include the shoulder blade, accessory breast area, armpits, and bra line. As a result, she was able to achieve a much straighter arm line and more defined, right-angled shoulders.

If you’re also hoping to achieve a refined arm contour and sharp shoulder line, like this patient did, why not schedule a liposuction consultation to explore your options?
