There are countless personal reasons
behind the decision to undergo liposuction.
Some choose the procedure to restore self-esteem
affected by weight gain,
to lead a healthier lifestyle,
or to address concerns about their body shape.

However, some patients hesitate
due to worries about potential pain
or complications after surgery.

Liposuction is a procedure that removes fat cells
located between the skin and muscles using a cannula.
During the process, the cannula does not remain still—
it vibrates and performs repetitive movements
to effectively break down and suction out fat.

During the procedure,
some degree of tissue damage is inevitable.
And with that damage,
pain in the treated area naturally follows.

After liposuction,
patients commonly experience pain, swelling, and bruising.
While the severity may vary from person to person,
these symptoms are a normal part of the healing process.

Temporary numbness or unusual sensations
can also occur for up to 4 weeks.
Some patients may worry
that the strange sensations won’t fully recover.

However, it’s important to be patient.
Full recovery and final results
usually become clear between 3 to 6 months post-surgery.

The patient was concerned
about her arms being noticeably thicker
compared to other areas of her body.

She hoped that arm liposuction
would help create a straighter, more slender arm line.

Her skin elasticity was moderate to slightly low,
but we expected a good outcome from the procedure.
It was determined that achieving the straight-line shape
she desired would be fully possible.

In addition to arm liposuction,
we recommended armpit liposuction
over accessory breast (axillary fat) removal,
as the latter may carry a higher risk
of future skin wrinkling in that area.

However, since the patient already had
fairly slim-looking arms prior to surgery,
we explained that the arms could appear
overly thin or bony after the procedure.

The patient preferred a lean, straight arm contour,
and after carefully considering this possibility,
she decided to proceed with both
arm and armpit liposuction.

“Bio-bond” refers to a condition
where the surgical area feels firm or hardened to the touch.

This typically appears
after some of the swelling has subsided,
when the tissues begin to feel noticeably stiff or lumpy.

It often occurs in areas
where the skin is thin or lymphatic vessels are concentrated.

While it usually softens over time,
you can speed up the recovery process
with a combination of hospital care and home care—
including light walking, warm compresses, and gentle massage.

At our clinic,
we not only specialize in liposuction surgery,
but also focus heavily on post-operative recovery care.

Our recovery management system
supports patients all the way
until final results are seen—around 5 months after surgery.

We provide tailored care at each stage of healing
to ease patient concerns,
and we are constantly striving
to deliver higher levels of satisfaction.
