With summer vacations approaching,
many people try crash diets or severe calorie restrictions
to lose weight quickly.

While these methods may cause the number
on the scale to drop, it’s often due to water loss,
not fat reduction.
This can lower skin elasticity
and result in sagging, making the situation worse.

Especially in patients with reduced skin elasticity,
even if liposuction is performed,
the amount that can be removed is limited.
After fat is removed, empty space may remain,
which increases the risk of wrinkling or sagging
around the treated area.

That’s why unsafe, rapid weight loss
should be avoided under any circumstances.

Today’s case features a patient
who struggled with bulky upper arms
that affected the fit of her clothes.
Through arm and surrounding fat removal,
she achieved longer, straighter arms
better suited to her body type.

Let’s take a closer look at her transformation
through the before-and-after images below.

[Patient Information]

Age: Early 30s
Occupation: Business owner
Height: 166cm
Weight: 54kg
BMI: 19

*Even with similar body stats,
liposuction results may vary depending on the individual.

This patient was slim overall,
but her upper arms appeared thicker than proportionate,
making her frame look larger
and causing her visible stress.

Based on her body analysis,
this patient had moderate muscle mass
but was fat-dominant, especially in the upper arms.
She also had sufficient fat in the armpits
and axillary areas, where fat commonly accumulates
along the connection between the arms and torso.

One notable factor was a slight loss of skin elasticity,
which raised concerns about skin sagging
following liposuction.

Therefore, we proposed the following surgical plan:

1.A combination of arm liposuction,
axillary fat removal, and armpit (accessory breast) liposuction
to achieve a slim and delicate arm line
that would match the patient’s overall body type.

2.Because of the reduced skin elasticity,
we adjusted the fat removal volume
to avoid sagging after surgery—
focusing on balanced contouring
rather than excessive suction.

The comparison photos below were taken
before surgery and 3 months post-op,
showing her transformation.

[Surgical Areas & Fat Volume]
Surgical areas: Arms, axillary fat, armpit fat
Liposuction volume: 1,500cc

This patient underwent arm liposuction
targeting fat around the upper arms,
axillary region, and armpits,
which contributed to a broader-looking upper body.

By evenly removing excess fat from these areas,
we aimed to reduce the visual bulk
and create a slimmer, more feminine arm line.

The procedure was carefully planned
to enhance balance and proportion
without over-removal, ensuring
a delicate and elegant silhouette
suitable for the patient’s body type.

At 70 days post-op, the results show that
arm liposuction, combined with
axillary and accessory breast fat removal,
provided excellent synergy for shaping
a delicate and tapered upper arm line.

Fat around the inner upper arms
and near the underarm was a major concern,
but this was effectively smoothed and reduced,
leading to a more refined silhouette.

Prior to surgery, we had noted
that the patient had mildly reduced skin elasticity,
and therefore achieving a perfectly straight,
model-thin arm shape might be limited.
We set clear expectations in advance.

However, thanks to consistent post-op care
and diligent use of compression garments,
her arms appear visibly firmer and tighter,
with improved tone and lift compared to before.

In cases with lower skin elasticity,
residual swelling may take longer to subside,
and final results may take more time to settle.
That’s why we advised extended compression wear
beyond the average period
to help maintain the slim, feminine line.

We also emphasized the importance
of moisturizing the treated area regularly
to prevent dryness, and maintaining
a healthy, balanced lifestyle with
nutritious meals and moderate exercise
instead of crash dieting—
key to sustaining elasticity and long-term results.

This patient showed excellent recovery
and is expected to continue improving
with proper aftercare and good daily habits.
