Even with the same height
and weight, liposuction results
and the amount of fat removed
can vary greatly depending on
each individual’s body characteristics.

Even if you see before-and-after photos
of patients with the same body size as you,
the direction of the surgery
will differ based on your
body shape and fat composition.

That’s why a thorough consultation
and body analysis must come first,
so we can accurately predict the results
and create a personalized surgery plan
for better satisfaction.

This patient previously attempted
to lose weight through weight training,
but saw no size change—
in fact, she gained more weight.

After receiving upper body liposuction
at Lesarts Plastic Surgery,
she achieved a slimmer arm line
and a more balanced upper body.

Let’s look at the
before-and-after photos below
to see her transformation.

[Patient Information]
Age: Early 30s
Occupation: Office worker
Height: 160cm
Weight: 59kg
BMI: 23

Even with similar specs,
liposuction results can vary.

The patient began arm exercises
to lose weight after gaining fat,
but her muscle mass increased,
causing her weight to rise even further.

As a result, her arms looked bulkier,
making her upper body appear larger
than her actual bone structure.

To resolve this, she decided to
undergo arm liposuction
at Lesarts Plastic Surgery
to remove her stubborn upper arm fat.

Body Analysis and Surgical Planning

1.Although the patient had a muscular upper body,
she also had a sufficient volume of fat,
making her a suitable candidate for arm liposuction
with expected size reduction and volume refinement.

2.In the case of accessory breast fat,
we anticipated a natural decrease in volume
if post-surgery diet and exercise were combined.

3.We also recommended armpit fat liposuction
to help create space between the arms and the torso.
Since this area is close to the lymph nodes,
we advised the patient to check for any family history of breast cancer
before proceeding with armpit liposuction.

We recommended a customized surgical plan
to help the patient achieve a straighter, slimmer arm line.

1.We planned to perform arm liposuction
together with armpit fat and
accessory breast liposuction
for a more balanced and refined upper body contour.

This is a comparison photo
taken before and 5 months after
the arm liposuction surgery.

[Surgery Area & Fat Volume]

Surgery area: arms, armpits, accessory breasts
Fat volume removed: 2,300cc

The patient had gained weight,
and wanted to slim her bulky upper arms
to better match her upper body balance,
hoping for a more slender and delicate arm line.

As seen in the photos taken 5 months later,
her previously wide-looking upper body
appears narrower, and with arm liposuction alone,
she felt that her overall image had changed.

In addition, when raising the arms,
the sagging “jeogori fat” beneath them
is a common body issue that often makes one look older.

Through upper arm liposuction, this was improved,
bringing a transformation to a more youthful, slender figure.

50 days after arm liposuction,
the selfie provided by the patient shows that,
despite her muscular body type,
the fat around the armpits and accessory breasts,
which had made her frame appear bulkier with weight gain,
was carefully removed to match her body balance,
revealing a noticeably slimmer arm line than before.

In this case, the patient had a muscular figure
with well-developed muscle tone for her height and weight.
To maximize the results of the arm liposuction,
we also performed accessory breast and armpit fat removal,
which created a slimming synergy across the entire upper body,
including the arms.

Because muscle mass limits
how much fat can be removed through arm liposuction,
we left a small amount of fat intact to avoid
overemphasizing the muscle lines,
and performed liposuction in a way that softened the arms,
ultimately achieving a slim and balanced arm shape
in this case of targeted fat removal.Prior to surgery, we had noted
that the patient had mildly reduced skin elasticity,
and therefore achieving a perfectly straight,
model-thin arm shape might be limited.
We set clear expectations in advance.

However, thanks to consistent post-op care
and diligent use of compression garments,
her arms appear visibly firmer and tighter,
with improved tone and lift compared to before.

In cases with lower skin elasticity,
residual swelling may take longer to subside,
and final results may take more time to settle.
That’s why we advised extended compression wear
beyond the average period
to help maintain the slim, feminine line.
