Even if the upper arms are not thick,
excess fat between the arms and torso
can make clothes fit poorly
and the upper body ratio look unbalanced.

Especially in slim body types,
when fat accumulates in the upper arms
and connects into the torso line,
the arms may appear shorter
and the upper body may look larger
and wider than it really is.

This case of arm liposuction not only aimed
to reduce the arm circumference,
but also considered improving
the asymmetry between both arms
and refining the connecting areas
where fat had accumulated.

Below, we will compare the before
and 1-month postoperative photos
to observe the changes
in arm thickness and contour.

Even with similar body measurements,
results from liposuction surgery may vary.

The patient consistently maintained
her body shape through regular cardio exercise,
but due to broad shoulders and concentrated fat
around the arms, she was concerned
about her upper body looking large.

In particular, the posterior arm bulge (Upper Arm Bulge)
was pronounced, and she mentioned feeling stressed
whenever she wore clothes that exposed her arms.

About 3–4 years ago, she had undergone
fat-dissolving injections in the posterior arm area,
but the results were not dramatic.
Over time, the fat returned,
and bulges became visible not only in the arms
but also in the accessory breast, armpits, and scapular area.

She felt that addressing the most concerning area,
the posterior arm bulge,
and refining that line was necessary.

Therefore, to achieve a sharper
and slimmer arm contour,
she decided to undergo arm liposuction surgery
and visited our clinic.

Before arm liposuction surgery,
we analyzed the patient’s body shape and observed
that fat was mainly concentrated in the posterior arms
and scapular area.

The Upper Arm Bulge caused the arms
to project outward diagonally when resting against the body,
making the arm line appear uneven and broken.
This created the impression of a wider, heavier upper body
than the actual skeletal frame.

In addition, accessory breast fat and armpit bulges
formed unclear, clumped lines,
making the arms appear shorter and thicker.

A notable feature in this case
was the asymmetry in shoulder width
and arm muscle development,
with the left arm looking firmer and more prominent.
This was considered a result of frequent use
and repetitive muscle activity,
leading to muscular imbalance.

Taking these factors into account,
the surgical plan aimed not only at reducing arm circumference,
but also refining the connected lines of the accessory breast,
armpits, and scapular area,
to comprehensively correct the overall concerns.

Below, we will compare before-and-after photos
taken 1 month after arm liposuction,
including the accessory breast, armpit, and scapular areas,
to review the surgical results.

Through arm, armpit, scapular, and accessory breast liposuction,
the overall bulky arm thickness was reduced,
and the arms were refined into a straight-arm shape.

Before arm liposuction surgery,
the Upper Arm Bulge protruded from the back of the arms,
and the fat around the scapular and armpits
extended heavily, making the arms look short.

In addition, due to relatively more developed muscles
in the left arm, the front view showed
asymmetry in arm thickness,
which made the silhouette appear unbalanced and bulky.

To improve this, we performed arm liposuction
to reduce arm volume, and removed excess fat
from the armpits, scapular, and accessory breast areas,
refining them into clean and smooth lines.

After surgery, the arms now rest naturally closer to the body,
with sufficient space secured between the arms and torso,
creating a slimmer and more balanced upper body.

In the selfie photos taken about 3 months after arm liposuction,
the arms now rest naturally closer to the torso,
with excess bulges removed, creating a straight-arm line
and a clear right-angle shoulder contour.

In particular, the asymmetry that was noticeable
in the left arm due to muscle development
was naturally corrected through surgery,
and the previously wide-looking upper body width
was refined into a more stable proportion.

This shows that arm liposuction is not just about
reducing arm circumference, but about designing
for structural balance, upper body proportion,
and achieving natural results by reshaping
key areas that create synergistic contour changes.

This case not only slimmed and smoothed
the arm lines but also improved
the overall upper body ratio and balance
with stability.
