Liposuction is a surgical procedure that can sculpt
a smoother, more toned figure by removing fat cells
that are often difficult to reduce through
long-term dieting and exercise alone.

Because it is an invasive procedure, the recovery phase
plays a critical role in determining the final results.
It must be approached with care and planning.

While recovery speed varies by patient,
bruising and swelling are typically prominent
within the first 2 weeks. Some may also experience
BioBond marks or tightness under the skin.

These symptoms usually subside naturally,
but better outcomes can be achieved through
consistent self-care—such as cold/hot compresses,
gentle massage, proper use of compression garments,
and postoperative treatments like radiofrequency
offered by the clinic.

During recovery, the skin may become more sensitive
due to tissue damage, which can also cause
temporary numbness or tingling.

These sensations usually improve gradually over time.
However, since sensory feedback may be reduced,
patients should be careful when using heating devices
such as electric pads or car seat warmers
to avoid accidental burns.

In this case, the patient significantly shortened
her recovery time through thorough post-op care
after arm liposuction.

Although she has not yet reached the final stage
of recovery, she has already achieved the arm line
she hoped for. We will now assess her progress
based on her case images.

Body analysis results for this patient revealed:

1. A slender bone structure

2. Significant fat volume throughout the arms

3. Noticeable fat also in the armpit area,
where the arm connects to the upper body

4. Despite a 10kg weight fluctuation,
her skin elasticity remained strong

5. A frame with well-developed deltoid muscles (shoulders)

Based on these factors, we proposed
the following arm liposuction surgery plan:

1. Perform arm liposuction and
armpit fat removal to balance the upper body

2. Because her deltoid muscles were prominent,
removing too much fat around the muscle borders
could exaggerate the shoulder line.
So we planned a refined approach that preserves fat
around the shoulder-arm junction,
to create a smooth, straight arm silhouette
that looks natural rather than overly hollowed.

Below is a before-and-after comparison
taken 3 months after arm liposuction.

[Surgical Area & Fat Volume Removed]

Surgical Areas: Arms, Armpits

Liposuction Volume: 1,400cc

The patient hoped to create an arm line
that naturally matched her upper body
by removing fat from the arms and armpits.

After surgery, she achieved visible improvement
in her arm contour at the 3-month follow-up.

In particular, the outer arm fat that once caused
her upper body to appear wider was reduced,
making her overall silhouette look noticeably slimmer.

In this case, the patient had a wide pelvic frame,
which allowed us to highlight her hip curve
by focusing liposuction on the saddlebags
and inner thighs.

As a result, she achieved a more feminine,
elongated leg line, along with a visible thigh gap.

Because results vary based on the patient’s
muscle-to-bone ratio, it’s essential to have
a thorough consultation with the surgeon
before lower body liposuction,
to ensure a tailored plan and satisfying outcome.

Armpit liposuction, often performed together
with arm liposuction, is especially helpful
when bulging armpit fat causes the arms
to flare outward even in a relaxed posture.

This procedure allows the arms to rest naturally
closer to the body, instead of slanting outward,
which can otherwise make the upper body look larger.

After her procedure, the patient visited the clinic
for consistent aftercare over 3 months,
including radiofrequency treatments,
balance injections, and laser toning
to manage pigmentation at the incision site.

Thanks to this thorough follow-up,
she is achieving stable results,
even though her recovery is still in progress.

In general, final results are best assessed
around 6 months post-op, when residual swelling
has fully subsided.

To ensure optimal recovery and long-lasting results,
patients should maintain proper compression wear,
follow-up care, and continue healthy eating habits
to avoid regaining fat.

Lastly, we strongly advise patients preparing
for liposuction to stop drinking and smoking
at least one week before surgery and
for one month after, to reduce the risk
of postoperative inflammation.
