People often say that dieting is a lifelong challenge.

However, when relying only on exercise and dieting,
it’s difficult not only to reduce overall body fat,
but also to target specific stubborn areas,
which can take a long time and cause many
to give up halfway through.

Eventually, many patients experience a plateau
or even go through yo-yo weight fluctuations,
which leads them to consider liposuction
as a more effective alternative.

During liposuction consultations,
we often recommend treating adjacent areas
in addition to the patient’s main concern.

This is because removing both the primary fat area
and the surrounding regions can increase the completeness
and dramatic impact of the result.
Through consultation, we assess the patient’s shape
and recommend which areas may need to be addressed.

The patient featured in today’s case
underwent arm liposuction
to improve her upper body balance,
resulting in a slimmer, more refined line.

Let’s take a closer look at her case below
to observe the degree of transformation.

[Patient Information]
Age: Early 20s
Occupation: Office worker
Height: 157cm
Weight: 52kg
BMI: 21

Even with similar body specs,
results of liposuction may vary by individual.

This patient was particularly stressed
about the appearance of her upper arms,
which made her look bigger
especially when she placed her arms
close to her torso.

Based on this patient’s body analysis,
we found the following characteristics:

1.She had a fat-type body shape,
with low muscle mass and a high fat volume
throughout the arms.
This indicated that arm liposuction would result
in a significant visible change.

2.Notably, she also had a large volume of fat
in the accessory breast and armpit area,
where the arms connect to the torso.
We therefore recommended treating
these areas along with the arms
for a more complete contour correction.

Based on this assessment,
we proposed the following arm liposuction plan:

1.Perform arm liposuction in combination with
accessory breast and armpit fat removal,
to correct upper body imbalance
and achieve a slim, straight arm silhouette
that feels light and feminine.

Below is a comparison photo
taken before surgery and three months after
her arm liposuction procedure.

[Surgery Area & Fat Volume]
Surgery area: Arms
Fat volume removed: 1,800cc

The patient hoped to reshape her bulky upper arms
into a slimmer, straight-line silhouette
by removing fat evenly through arm liposuction.

Although she did not proceed with
accessory breast or armpit fat removal,
which could have enhanced the overall balance
of her upper body silhouette,
the results at three months post-op
already show a noticeable reduction.

The volume in the outer and back arms
was significantly reduced,
making her upper body appear visibly narrower.

Especially in the side view,
her arms appear thinner,
and the transformation into a straight, delicate shape
brings out a more feminine impression,
which was her goal.

The patient wore compression garments consistently
and received proper aftercare
during the three months after surgery,
which helped ensure a stable recovery.

Some residual swelling remains,
but with continued effort in diet and exercise,
she is expected to maintain this slim arm contour
without experiencing rebound weight gain.
