Even for those who do not frequently wear sleeveless clothing,
upper arm fat inevitably becomes a concern,
as it greatly affects overall body balance
and how clothes fit.

Even a small amount of localized fat
can make the upper body appear wider
and give a bulky impression.

For this reason,
many people seek improvement in the
upper arms, axillary area,
and bra line,
even if they are at a standard weight.

Today, through a case of upper arm liposuction
in a bride-to-be preparing for her wedding,
we will take a closer look at
how the wedding dress line
was smoothed and refined.

[Patient information]

Age: Mid-30s
Height: 165 cm
Weight: 55 kg
BMI: 20

Even with similar physical characteristics,
liposuction results may vary by individual.

The patient, a bride-to-be,
was concerned about her upper arms
and overall upper body contour.

In a natural standing position,
the fullness at the back of the arms was prominent,
with excess fat accumulating around the
axillary area and bra line,
raising concerns that the silhouette
might not look clean when wearing a wedding dress.

To achieve a more refined and
smooth upper body silhouette
for her special day,
she chose to undergo upper arm liposuction.

At the preoperative assessment,
the patient’s body contour showed
concentrated fat accumulation
along the back of the arms, axillary area,
accessory breast area, and bra line.

In a natural standing position,
the arm line appeared bulged,
making the upper body look
wider overall.

The abdomen also showed
fat accumulation in the anterior abdomen
and flank areas,
resulting in an unclear waistline
and noticeable volume at the love handle region.

As seen in many patients,
this patient is right-handed,
and increased use of the right arm
led to greater volume prominence,
with a clear left–right asymmetry observed.

Fortunately, the patient has a slender frame
and good skin elasticity,
which are favorable conditions
for achieving clear contour correction
after liposuction.

Because arm and abdominal liposuction
were planned together,
the surgical range and aspiration volume
were expected to be larger.

Therefore, blood pressure and
blood tests were conducted preoperatively
to first assess the patient’s overall health status.

After confirming medical stability,
the surgical plan was reviewed once again
during the preoperative design stage,
and the procedure was then
finalized and performed accordingly.

As bulging fat along
the back of the arms, axilla,
and flank area was reduced
through liposuction,

the space between the torso and arms
in a natural standing position
appeared more open and relaxed,

and the arm line looked
noticeably longer and slimmer.

The waistline also became
more defined and tapered,
allowing the wedding dress fit
to appear much lighter
and more elegant.

By correcting both the arms and abdomen
at the same time,
the front-view upper-body silhouette
became more balanced,

and the newly revealed
feminine contour
was a key factor
in increasing the patient’s
overall satisfaction.

From the back view,
bulky fat along
the back of the arms, bra line,
and upper back
made the overall torso size
appear larger.

The waistline also looked
blunt and undefined,
so creating a smooth curve
from the flanks to the hips
was necessary.

At 1 month after
arm and abdominal liposuction
,
the back-of-arm fat
and bra-line bulges
were noticeably reduced,

resulting in a much
smoother back line.

The waistline became
clearly more defined,
making the upper body
appear slimmer overall,

while the pelvic line
also appeared more
feminine and graceful.

As a result, even from
the back view,
a dramatic transformation
was achieved,

and throughout the wedding ceremony,
the wedding dress fit
is expected to look
beautiful and refined
from every angle.

From the side view,
the change in back-of-arm fat
and axillary bulges
is especially noticeable.

The previously curved arm contour
has transformed into a
straight arm line,

with the angled shape softened,
creating a longer-looking proportion
overall.

In the abdomen,
both front abdominal fat
and flank fat
were reduced,

allowing the waistline
to appear more defined,
with a natural flow
extending smoothly
into the pelvic line.

Overall, the upper body,
which once felt heavy,
has changed into a
lighter, well-balanced silhouette,

making a stable and elegant fit
in a wedding dress
clearly achievable.

By performing arm and abdominal liposuction
simultaneously,
this patient was able to correct
the back-of-arm fat
and flank bulges

that are most noticeable
in a wedding dress line.

The previously concerning volume
was refined,
restoring balance to the upper-body proportions,

allowing the patient to prepare
a confident appearance
for her special wedding day.

With good skin elasticity,
continued postoperative care
and consistent exercise

are expected to help the contours
settle into an even
more natural and clean line
over time.
