Among a person’s body shape,
the areas that draw the most attention are likely the face, which faces others,
and the arms, which are in close proximity to the face.

When there is excess fat in the upper body,
it can create the illusion of being heavier and give off a clumsy image,
even if the actual weight is not that high.

If you’ve decided to undergo arm liposuction due to the stress caused by arm fat,
it’s important to consult with a specialist and develop a thorough and safe surgical plan
to achieve the desired body shape and satisfactory results.

The patient is 171cm tall, weighs 55kg, and has a BMI of 18.81.
While the overall body proportion indicates a slim figure,
the excess fat concentrated in the upper body was causing significant stress.

In particular, the patient sought liposuction to address the back bulge,
which was disrupting the slim arm line.

The fat concentrated throughout the entire arm made the upper body appear larger.

To create a balanced upper body and arm line,
we recommended not only liposuction of the back bulge on the arms but also of the armpit and accessory breast areas.

This patient initially came in thinking only about liposuction for the back bulge on the arms,
as it was particularly noticeable.

After the consultation, the surgeon explained the balanced upper body effect that would come after arm liposuction.
Considering this, the patient ultimately decided to proceed with liposuction on the arms, accessory breasts, and armpits,
as well as fat grafting from the arms to the forehead.

A total of 2600cc of fat was suctioned from the arms, accessory breasts, and armpits,
and 48cc of the suctioned fat was grafted to the forehead.

Additionally, botox was performed on the forehead.
Since the forehead muscles are wide, if facial expressions are made or the eyes are opened after fat grafting,
the shape of the grafted fat can change or be absorbed.

To address this, we combined botox to limit the movement of the forehead muscles,
helping improve the survival rate of the grafted fat.

[Upper body liposuction: volume changes after surgery]

Before arm liposuction,
you can see that the entire upper body
including the arm line, accessory breasts, and armpit area
had a significant amount of fat.

In the follow-up photo taken on the treatment day,
despite it being a period when bruising and swelling appear,
you can already see a noticeable reduction in arm volume.

Looking at the progress photo taken three months after surgery,
the upper body, which previously looked bulky due to excess fat,
has transformed into a slimmer and more balanced shape overall.

Before undergoing liposuction surgery,
the reason for diagnosing the entire body shape, including the patient’s problem areas,
is not just to remove a large amount of fat,

but to ensure that the results achieve a perfect balance in the body after surgery.

The patient is also expected to achieve a synergistic effect from the liposuction
by combining exercise and diet to maintain the newly shaped upper body line and balance.
