In women, the abdominal area
has relatively low muscle mass
and tends to remain less active,
making it one of the easiest regions
for fat to accumulate quickly.

In addition, if visceral fat builds up
around the internal organs,
it can increase abdominal volume
and not only affect physical appearance
but also raise the risk of health problems.

That’s why active abdominal fat management
should be prioritized in daily life.

Abdominal liposuction is a body contouring procedure
that physically removes fat from the abdominal area
by suctioning it out of the body,
helping restore overall body balance.

It is particularly effective
for selectively targeting areas
that are resistant to diet and exercise.

However, in body types
with excessive visceral fat,
ongoing diet control and exercise
are essential even after liposuction
to maintain results.

The patient featured today underwent
abdominal liposuction and mons pubis liposuction,
achieving a visibly slimmer waistline
by eliminating excess belly fat.

Let’s take a closer look
at her transformation
through the before-and-after case review below.

[Patient Information]
Age: Early 30s
Occupation: Office worker
Height: 170 cm
Weight: 73 kg
BMI: 25

Even with similar physical specifications,
liposuction results may vary by individual.

This patient had previously worked
as a student athlete during her school years
and maintained strict weight control.
However, she experienced frequent yo-yo effects
into adulthood as a result of that history.

According to her body shape analysis,
this patient presented with the following characteristics:

1. She had a fat-dominant body type
with low muscle mass overall.

2. Due to repeated yo-yo dieting,
her skin elasticity was visibly reduced.

3. Her pelvic width was within a moderate range.

4. In the upper and lower abdomen,
we noted that if a large volume of fat
were removed through abdominal liposuction,
the lack of skin elasticity could lead
to loose skin, making the abdomen
appear bulged or uneven.

5. She also had sufficient fat in the mons pubis area,
and mons pubis liposuction was recommended
to be performed in conjunction with abdominal liposuction.

Based on this,
we proposed the following abdominal liposuction plan:

1. The plan included both abdominal liposuction
and mons pubis liposuction
to create a slimmer waistline
and a flatter abdominal contour.

2. Since her skin elasticity was reduced,
we advised her to manage the recovery phase carefully—
combining a healthy diet and exercise
to maintain her new shape,
prevent abdominal sagging,
and continue reducing visceral fat.

We emphasized the importance
of maintaining a stable weight
to help preserve the results.

Below is the comparison photo
taken before surgery
and one month after abdominal liposuction.

[Surgical Area & Fat Volume]
Treatment Area: Abdomen, Mons Pubis
Liposuction Volume: 8,000cc

This patient had a central obesity body type,
and by performing abdominal liposuction
together with mons pubis liposuction,
we achieved a visibly slimmer waistline
and improved abdominal contour.

However, due to her long history
of irregular eating habits,
there was a significant amount of visceral fat,
which pushed the abdominal wall forward.
We explained that even with fat removal,
the front abdomen might still appear
slightly rounded or uneven in shape.

Therefore, instead of focusing
on removing excessive fat,
we carefully limited the volume
to match her skin elasticity,
resulting in a more natural-looking contour.

Because of her skin laxity,
we strongly advised the patient
to wear compression garments
for up to 6 months post-op
to support skin retraction
and maintain the tapered waistline.

We also recommended following our
postoperative care program
to ensure a stable and smooth recovery
in the treated abdominal region.
