Abdominal liposuction in Korea consultations often include
questions about removing visceral fat.
This is because not only visible subcutaneous fat,
but also visceral fat around internal organs
can influence the overall abdominal shape.

When visceral fat increases, the abdominal wall
can be pushed outward, causing abdominal distension.
It can also create body-shape concerns
that differ from subcutaneous fat,
and may even contribute to
adult-onset health conditions.

Unfortunately, visceral fat is not an area
that can be treated with liposuction surgery.

After abdominal liposuction, if the waistline
is reduced and the contour changes
through the subcutaneous fat layer,
it is important to lower visceral fat levels
through healthy diet and lifestyle habits.

In this post, we will review
Before & After changes in a patient
who underwent abdominal liposuction
to reduce fat in the front abdomen, flanks,
and love handles, and explain
the treatment effects of the surgery.

[Patient information]

Age: Late 20s
Height: 168 cm
Weight: 64 kg
BMI: 22

*Even with similar body specs,
liposuction results may vary.

This patient experienced body changes
as belly fat increased due to
unhealthy lifestyle habits.

To reduce abdominal fat,
she tried abdominal workouts
and dietary control for a long time,
but she said there was
no major visible improvement.

In particular, flank fat made it hard
for her waistline to look defined,
and she was concerned that
her outfit fit did not look flattering
because the body line was not
as slim and shaped as she wanted.

Before abdominal liposuction in Korea,
we confirmed the expected fat removal volume
and diagnosed the areas
that required surgical treatment.

In this patient’s case,
the visceral fat level was elevated,
so the abdominal wall
was pushed forward.

On top of that, subcutaneous fat
had also accumulated,
increasing the volume
of the front abdomen.

In addition, the flanks
and love handle areas
had a significant amount of fat
that required suction,
which was increasing
the overall waist circumference.

Especially for flank fat,
it widened the abdominal width
and made the waistline disappear,
becoming a main reason
the upper body looked heavier
than the patient’s actual weight.

Considering these body features,
we planned full-area abdominal liposuction
to reduce the circumference as much as possible
and help the waistline appear
more defined and slim.

Below, we will review the changes
six months after full-area
abdominal liposuction,
as fat was removed from
the front abdomen, lower belly,
flanks, and love handles.

Before abdominal liposuction surgery,
as fat gained unevenly from left to right,
the flank line lacked a visible waistline
and the overall contour looked unbalanced.

With flank liposuction, the side line
changed into a slimmer, softer shape
from the ribcage down to the pelvis,
creating a more defined waist curve.

In particular, compared with the pre-op shape
where the curve from waist to pelvis
looked bulky and not smooth,
abdominal liposuction surgery created
a thinner waist and a naturally
voluminous pelvic silhouette,
allowing the patient to feel
a more stable and balanced proportion.

From the back view as well,
the flank fat reduced naturally,
and a slimmer, defined waistline
became clearly noticeable.

In addition, the heavy-looking
upper hip line became cleaner
and more refined through
love handle liposuction.

Even for naturally slim patients,
a small amount of stubborn fat
can make proportions look less flattering
from the back, which is why
many people say it is an area
they cannot help but worry about.

In this patient’s case,
full-area abdominal liposuction surgery
removed noticeable stubborn fat
from every angle in a 360-degree approach
with detailed, precise suction.

As a result, the overall back silhouette
became noticeably slimmer,
the waistline came back,
and the proportions looked
more harmonious and balanced.

In particular, the waist, pelvis,
and hip line connected naturally,
showing a clear improvement
in a more well-balanced
and refined back-view contour.

Due to the influence of visceral fat,
this patient showed a clear increase
in overall abdominal projection
and waist circumference from the side view.

With abdominal liposuction surgery,
we created a smoother front abdomen
and a cleaner flank line, and with
love handle liposuction, the patient
achieved circumference reduction
along with an added contour benefit
that made the hips appear more lifted.

However, as explained earlier,
visceral fat cannot be improved
through liposuction, so we also
discussed the importance of
consistent self-management
through healthy lifestyle habits.

After abdominal liposuction, we reviewed
the patient’s provided Before & After selfies,
and could clearly see that
the heavy-looking front abdomen decreased
and the flank line became more defined.

As the waistline appeared slimmer,
the overall contour improved into
a more feminine and well-balanced body line.

Because liposuction became
a strong starting point for change,
we explained that if she continues
consistent lifestyle management,
she can expect even more
positive long-term results.
