These days, it’s true that body contouring can be improved quickly
through liposuction without the need for months of daily effort.

However, for a fast and stable recovery,
post-operative care should not be overlooked.

Some patients worry about scarring at the incision sites.
But liposuction scars usually fade gradually over time,
although the healing speed can vary depending on skin type.

Scars may look darker in the early stages,
but this is a normal part of recovery and typically fades with time.

If you ever feel discomfort or are unsure whether your symptoms
are part of the normal healing process,
it’s always best to visit your surgical clinic
and receive a proper medical evaluation from your doctor.

The patient is 155cm tall, weighs 56.9kg,
with a BMI of 23.1.

About 3 years ago, she underwent thigh and arm liposuction
at another clinic but was unhappy with the results.

After researching through various online communities,
she visited our clinic in search of a liposuction specialist
who could better meet her needs.

During her consultation with our surgeon,
she explained that her weight had recently increased
by 3–4kg, leading to new fat deposits,
and asked whether revision liposuction
on the previously treated areas
could help improve her overall body line.

Based on the pinch test,
a significant amount of fat remained in both the arms and thighs,
despite having undergone previous liposuction.

We explained that a revision liposuction would likely show
noticeable improvement in these areas.

For the arms, we recommended including the bra line
to improve upper body balance.

However, due to the prominent wing bones on her back,
we informed her in advance that the visible effect
may appear slightly less dramatic in that area.

For the calves, which were another concern,
the outer bone structure was slightly rotated,
but liposuction would still likely result in a
more refined and aligned leg contour.

In the abdominal area,
there was a large amount of fat concentrated in the flanks,
so liposuction was expected to visibly improve the waistline.

However, because of a protruding abdominal wall,
we also noted that creating a perfectly flat abdomen
may be challenging even after the procedure.

Through consultation,
the patient reviewed the potential outcomes of revision liposuction
on previously treated areas she was dissatisfied with.

She then chose to begin with the area she felt most needed improvement.

Before surgery, our medical team explained the incision placement
and healing stages of liposuction in detail.

As the patient had previously experienced darkened scarring
after surgery at another clinic,
we emphasized that scars typically fade over time,
and discussed options such as using scar cream
and receiving toning-based scar care during recovery.

With a full understanding of the post-op care program,
she proceeded with the procedure.

In the end, she underwent abdominal and calf liposuction,
with a total of 4,100cc of fat removed.

The progress photos show that the bulging fat along the flanks
has been neatly reduced, giving a smoother waistline.

As explained before surgery,
a perfectly flat abdominal contour was difficult to achieve
due to a protruding abdominal wall.

However, by performing maximum suction in the front abdomen,
we were able to improve the line significantly
and achieve a more balanced overall appearance.

One of the patient’s biggest concerns was scarring from liposuction.
As seen in the 6-month follow-up photo, the scar has faded
to the point where it is barely visible.

At 2 weeks post-op, it’s normal to experience
the most intense bruising and swelling,
along with redness around the incision site.
However, this generally subsides over time,
and only mild pigmentation may remain.

Although the degree of scar pigmentation varies by individual,
it often fades naturally over 1 to 2 years.

To support faster healing,
we provide a Recovery Kit that includes
scar ointment, antiseptic sticks, and bandage supplies
so patients can easily care for their scars after discharge.

If needed, we also offer laser toning treatments at the clinic
to help further improve scar appearance
giving peace of mind to those concerned about visible marks.

To ensure convenient at-home care,
our Recovery Kit comes with everything from bruise cream
to scar cream and cleansing tools.
