When the body’s left–right balance
appears slightly uneven, it can affect
the overall silhouette regardless of
weight or clothing size.

In such cases, the figure may not look
aesthetically pleasing, and the image
can feel awkward or unbalanced.

Especially in areas like the arms and abdomen,
which naturally draw attention after the face,
even a subtle asymmetry can disrupt
the entire body silhouette.

For example, if the abdomen appears misaligned
around the navel, the upper body may
look heavier and give off
an unbalanced impression.

Such asymmetries are often difficult
to manage with self-care alone.

If surgery is chosen as a solution,
it is important not only to reduce fat volume,
but also to refine body proportions and ensure
a smooth flow between the upper and lower body lines.

Results of liposuction surgery may vary
even among patients with similar body types.

This case involves abdominal liposuction
and arm liposuction, performed on a patient
who struggled with blurred upper body lines
due to excess fat deposits around the
arms and abdomen.

Localized fat accumulation not only disrupted
body balance but also caused
left–right asymmetry.
Although the patient had tried fat-dissolving injections
and diet medication, these methods failed
to deliver visible changes
leading her to decide on liposuction surgery.

Pre-surgery consultation and photos confirmed that
the upper body carried excess fat deposits
mainly in the arms and abdomen,
making the overall silhouette appear heavy
and unbalanced.

In particular, when the arms rested naturally,
the back arm bulge spread outward,
connecting with the flank fat,
erasing the natural gap between
the arms and torso.
This blurred boundary made the upper body
look bulky and less defined.

From the side view, the lower abdomen bulge
was noticeable below the navel,
while from the front, overlapping double waistlines
around the flanks disrupted a smooth waist curve.

A slight asymmetry was also observed,
with the upper body leaning subtly
to the right side.
The right waist curve appeared less indented
than the left, and the navel position
was slightly rotated to the right—
making the abdominal midline distortion
visually distinct.

Based on these findings, the surgical plan included:

-Abdominal liposuction targeting the
lower abdomen and flanks.

-Arm liposuction covering the armpit fat,
accessory breast (jeogori fat),
and the scapular region.

The goal was not only to refine the upper body contour
but also to correct visible asymmetry.

Below, we will compare the upper body liposuction results
at 1 month post-op to review the transformation.

First, the lower abdominal bulge
and the waistline asymmetry were corrected,
resulting in an overall more stable
and refined appearance.

In addition, the excess fat in the back arms
and under the armpits was reduced,
creating waistline curves and natural space.
This made the upper body line look slimmer
and more balanced overall.

Before arm and abdominal liposuction,
the lower belly bulge and back arm volume
were clearly visible. After surgery, both areas
were reduced significantly, and the upper body contour
appeared much lighter and smoother.

This procedure focused on improving the overall proportion
of the upper body by removing fat widely distributed
across the arms and abdomen at the same time.

In this case, the patient’s main concern was that
the body looked wide and asymmetrical,
caused by a combination of body curvature
and uneven fat distribution.

Therefore, instead of simply reducing fat,
the goal was to bring balanced harmony
through a customized surgical approach
that considered each body area together.

Beyond the arms and abdomen,
several key liposuction points also required attention.
For this reason, compression garments
and radiofrequency care were emphasized
during early recovery to ensure stable healing.

At just 1 month post-op, the patient already shows
clear silhouette refinement and visible improvement
in asymmetry correction.

Moving forward, consistent light stretching
and daily care will be important for stabilization.
As residual swelling gradually subsides,
the results are expected to settle into
an even more natural and well-balanced contour.
