The patient had a height of 162 cm, a weight of 60 kg, and a BMI of 22.7,
with a body type where fat was concentrated mainly in the abdominal area.

Since her early twenties, she began gaining weight due to irregular lifestyle habits
after starting her career.

To prevent further weight gain,
she was prescribed appetite suppressants for weight control.

During the approximately four months of taking appetite suppressants,
the patient reported a weight loss of about 15 kg.

However, after discontinuing the use of appetite suppressants,
the previously suppressed appetite triggered binge eating,
leading to a weight gain that exceeded the amount previously lost.

Due to the uncontrollable eating habits and significant weight gain beyond her original weight,
the patient experienced severe stress and stubborn abdominal fat.

To address these issues,
she visited Lesarts Plastic Surgery for a consultation regarding abdominal liposuction surgery.

The diagnosis showed that despite a 15 kg fluctuation,
there was no significant change in the size of the abdominal wall or the rib cage.

However, signs of abdominal bloating
caused by irregular eating habits were observed.

If body weight repeatedly increases and decreases by more than 15 kg,
the abdominal skin stretches and contracts repeatedly,
leading to a decrease in skin elasticity.

If skin elasticity is reduced,
there may be limitations on the amount of fat that can be removed during abdominal liposuction.

We explained that some fat around the panty line area
might remain after the procedure.

Additionally, for a stable recovery after abdominal liposuction,
we emphasized the importance of diligent post-operative care
and the consistent wearing of compression garments.

The patient fully understood the potential for decreased skin elasticity after surgery
and agreed to proceed.

A total of 5,500 cc of fat was successfully removed from the abdomen.

Before the abdominal liposuction surgery,
the patient’s abdomen showed an overall lack of skin elasticity,
with visible sagging toward the lower area.

In the photos taken two months after surgery,
the subcutaneous fat was smoothly removed,
and the previously sagging skin settled naturally above the panty line.

Since the patient had more severe skin elasticity loss
compared to typical cases,
we advised her to consistently wear compression garments
for 1 to 2 months
to help the sagging skin reattach more effectively.
