If you have liposuction on your thighs, is it true that if you gain weight, it will go to other areas?
My friend used to have a slim upper body, but after getting thigh liposuction, she says that when she gains weight, it only goes to her upper body.

Liposuction is a surgery that reduces the absolute number of fat cells in the treated area.
The best approach is to avoid an increase in body fat after the surgery. However, if body fat does increase, the treated areas will have fewer fat cells compared to other areas, so the volume increase will be slower.
But, if you gain weight and your body fat in other areas increases significantly, the volume of fat cells in the liposuctioned area will also increase. Therefore, after liposuction, it's important not to neglect body fat (or weight) management.
