I saw on Yeouyaka Cafe that they were calling it 'babon.' What exactly is it?

Does liposuction cause bio-bonding?

What happens if it doesn’t go away...?

Hello, this is Lesarts Plastic Surgery.

Bio-bond, or "babon" for short, refers to the phenomenon that occurs when fibrous tissue and blood residue clump together in the area where the cannula passes during liposuction, causing adhesion beneath the skin.

This can also happen when there are wounds on the skin even without liposuction. However, since liposuction involves many incisions over a large area, the adhesions tend to form larger and thicker. The presence of bio-bond and its severity can vary depending on factors such as the extent of the liposuction, skin thickness, and the location of the procedure.

The improvement of bio-bonding depends on the individual’s recovery ability, and the timing of improvement can vary.

After some time, the sensation of bio-bond on the surface will improve, but for faster recovery, it is recommended to follow post-surgery aftercare.
