I can't stand the discomfort.
They emphasized again and again that I should wear the compression garment, but it's just so tight, uncomfortable, and itchy. It’s driving me crazy.

Hello, this is Lesarts Plastic Surgery.
Wearing a compression garment after liposuction is not mandatory, but it is recommended to enhance the results and achieve smoother contours.
If the liposuction area is small, the amount of fat removed is minimal, or if the skin has good elasticity, wearing the compression garment is optional.
However, if the treated area is large, a significant amount of fat has been removed, and the skin’s elasticity is reduced, wearing the compression garment is essential.
Itchy and tingling sensations in the treated areas are often part of the healing process or caused by an allergy to the compression garment. If the irritation is due to an allergy, it is better to stop wearing the compression garment.
For any post-surgical allergy related to weakened skin and decreased immunity, it is advisable to stop wearing the garment temporarily. Once the skin and immune system stabilize, you can resume wearing the compression garment.
