Many people are curious about how much weight they lose after liposuction.
It’s true that the weight will decrease by the amount of fat removed. However, since fat is not very heavy compared to its volume, calculating 1000cc as 1kg is somewhat inaccurate. After the swelling goes down, we estimate that 1000cc of fat removal equals about 0.5 to 0.8 kg of weight loss. It’s important to note that individual differences may occur.
Sometimes, after liposuction, swelling can actually cause an increase in weight. This is temporary, and as the swelling subsides, the weight will gradually decrease. Liposuction alone doesn’t cause a significant change in weight.
