A lump at the incision site

Liposuction

I had liposuction on my abdomen, and there's a big difference before and after. People around me are even saying I've succeeded in my diet, which makes me really happy.

But there's one concern: I think there’s a lump at the incision site on my abdomen. It doesn’t hurt, but I can feel a slight lump right at the incision.

Is this okay? Should I get scar treatment injections or something?

Hello, this is Lesarts Plastic Surgery.

"Scarring at the incision site after liposuction varies depending on an individual's skin type.

If hypertrophic scars develop at the incision site, we typically perform injection treatments around the 3-month mark to soften the scar tissue. The dosage of the injections is adjusted based on the severity of the scar to help improve it.

These injections are usually done starting at 3 months, with 2-3 sessions spaced 1-2 months apart."
